It could be far worse. Somehow my Mum got the idea I was a James Last fan! That was a CD that went straight to the charity shop!
I can do you a nice line in high necked button collar wolly jumpers….
then again Steve has a point, besides, my old mum still loves telling people of the time when I was about 7 and I bought her a REAL gold bracelet as it was the best thing for sale at the RSPCA jumble sale, so I guess we are even !
Story-wise, yes, a bit weak, but that’s not what you see it for. It’s like Titanic in a way – you knew the story, but that’s not what you went to see.
See it again? Oh yeah.
Jury is still out with me, wasn’t sure what to expect, and I still think that the techie side is easier (however challenging) that writing a story that fits the film. Gripping, entertaining or whatever subjective view you want to take.
My son wants to see it so I may take him over Xmas (if Basingstoke ever thaws, hands up who saw us on the news 😀 ) how pathetic was that !?
I don’t think Avatar is something I’ll rush out to buy when its released on DVD etc.
anybody who wants to see it, if you can go to an Apollo cinema, they are using 4K projectors, Vue and the others are all 2k (so more pixels on the screen, better picture)

From Daz’s favourite, Jeff Dunham, Walter has an interesting view about it all.

Life’s a bitch.
and then we marry one ?:diablo:
I just think it all comes to being over familiar, you know everything about the other person from their views on politics to their favourite brand of emulsion paint!
You’ve seen each other in the bathroom (and not in a fun packed shared shower way! ) heard each other break wind, possibly seen the wife in childbirth (not my favourite day, it was like watching Alien !) my wife has see me be probed and prodded by doctors over the years.
I gave my Mrs a Xmas card yesterday, she said “whats that for?”…..and then when we were in town she said “don’t you have enough aeroplane stuff?”
its not you Wyvernfan, its them…..

You need to sit it on your lap and say things like “So, Mr Bond, we meet again but this time you will not escape….”;)

Yes indeed Mr Sony still makes the best TV cameras, and some of his domestic gear ain’t bad either. I’ll be off for eight weeks on location in the new year with my rarther nice, if rarther heavy Sony HD-650 complete with (also rarther heavy) optical fibre breakout box attached on the rear end, affectionately known as ‘the backbreaker’…
always happy to see forum members (or anybody) help top up my pension fund !
