Seriously, I used to love Michael Bay films, music, explosions, occasional nudity !:dev2: – but I wasn’t too impressed by this one, first Transformers was enjoyable but in the action scenes I had NO clues what was happening, this one just seems a bit of a muddle.

I enjoyed, a lot. Definitely one for the DVD collection…

2 1/2 hrs of my life I want back Daz……. thats three “blockbusters” this summer, only Trek lived up to expectation for me…..

You would also have seen Spitfires PT462 and PL344 in the early 1990’s and perhaps also MK VIII MT719 which we looked after for Peter Ray for a while before its departure (also the US). Not to mention of course Mustang G-SUSY (now in Bremgarten, Germany with yet another new owner and awaiting a markings change).

Thanks Mark V – I’m sure I have a few pictures somewhere I’m sure, the Spitfire was in primer yellow, they let people sit in the cockpit which went down very well – hence the queue (I didn’t get a turn 🙁 ) I remember it was all very low key, very open, very hands on.

Seeing that after a “consultation” that wasn’t implemented correctly at work and too many good people leave when they didn’t want to, we have another meeting with a three line whip tomorrow to see more restructuring.

People are being cut yet we still spend on meetings off-site, lashings of european travel (when we sell video conferencing equipment)…..

I’m going for certain…

For me its a perfect venue. I can do the drive in 90 mins from Hampshire if all goes well. The focus on “historics” (be it a Vulcan or piston engined by selection…) is more my area of interest. I take my son (now 9) and the venue suits him, lots of shade/shelter whatever is needed. If its hot, the hangers are cool, if wet they are dry (and large). Its now an annual father/son day, we did a Rapide flight two years ago all excellent fun.

And while I’ve told the story before, I love telling it,:diablo: a few years ago when one of the Spitfires landed and taxied in he was up on my shoulders and having see the display he said “you can teach Monkies to fly better than that”…. a bit harsh of course but you all know where he got that from !

You have to admit the Finnish schemes are wonderful….

I’ve always been led to believe that the ‘governor’ Stephen Grey has always dismissed the idea of any jets at legends. The F-15 was an exeption to the rule rather than a change of policy.!

Each to their own but if the option to display a Meteor, Vampire, Hunter, T-33, F-86 came up they wouldn’t turn it down?

either way, I’m there, as a venue its great for me, I’m looking forward to it.
