This book is one of the very few that have ‘binned’ but at 1p? .
To be fair I should say that on amazon resellers I have seen an awful lot of books at 1p (plus £2.75 P&P) ! – but would be very interested to see anything more you have on a new book – if you recall it can you post it ?
cheers
Why is it policy for many Indian call centres operatives to pretend to have British names?,!
I’ve had Rachel Green from BT (their call centre/help desk is shocking) I asked her where Ross and Chandler were and she asked if I wanted to speak to her colleague! –

The dust cover of the “walls came tumbling down” book says “one of the most controversial raids” – is that sales blurb or was there a real argumnet, discussion behind it?
I recall reading the book, ooooo, 20 plus years ago, but can see it for 1p on an amazon seller, just may order that!
Still a great marketing idea – they have a bunch of aircraft enthusiasts debating it all….. somebody somewhere had a shrewd plan, has to be a better ad campaign than say, “see you in Courts” with old Brucie in a wig.
Was always a Cadburys Smash ad fan myself, crack me up even if the food tastes like wallpaper paste !
a late addition, the Chocolate & Chilli are shocking……… awful awful things, Squirel (IMO) like a poor mans smokey bacon and the duck, umm, bit plumby so you get a wiff of the sauce….

Jericho would make a good basis for a movie surely, enough to get in some background stories etc, CGI (Ok, another debate) could make the Mossies fly….
Why is this story not more widely known? Bizarre, but sadly probably not unique in being well “hidden”?
genius marketing plan though – let Jo Public advertise and debate away.
didn’t they do it years ago with Hedgehog etc ?

Unless, of course, they stone him to death.
Why ? Did he say “Jahovah” ?
sorry, saw the movie the other day (yet) again…. cracks me up…..
He stays in Jail, end of – expensive but with the death penalty which without doubt he would have gotten in the 50’s etc, life term is life term. If he comes out, new ID, police protection, benefits (can’t see him working, CV would look a bit iffy……)

I did once get fed up with double glazing calls so accepted an appointment to measure up for Patio doors. I lived in a first floor flat at the time….. that was fun.
Telephone preference service is good, but UK specific so you still get calls from Netherlands etc, I just say “No” thanks, I am registered with telephone preference, thank you and good bye. If, and it has happened they argue back, then gloves are off – I’ve had “well, if you don’t want to save money then its your problem”….. thats fair game…..out came the whistle…
there was an episode of Becker when all through he had something in his pocket, when asked (about 20 times) he said “Oh, its just my air horn”, at the end, he was sat at home, got a cold call and out came the air horn !
