I agree ! I used to hand the phone to the kids when they were younger, so I got 20 mins free babysitting time which was enough time for a coffee and digestive or two. A whistle is good fun but sometimes when you put the phone down it takes a while to clear the line and get a dial tone.

There is a serious side though, my mum, 73 at the time gave over bank details and card details to buy an “energy saving device”….. then was so worried she had to change all of her cards etc….. there is a streak of evil in these people that while we laugh at and can have some sport with, can cause upset and loss with folk not equipped to deal with them.

What made you (want to) Swear Today IV

A **** on a bike. I’m turning off at the first exit on a roundabout. Mr Green & Black Spandex, unqualified, uninsured on the cycle path thinks he has right of way, so he slows and points ahead as I approach the exit and makes to cross the road (BTW, ignoring the “road” markings on the cycle path). I then get the arm wave and finger as I proceed, within the speed limit, with a full licence, and fully insured on the highway following my right of way.

I have had it with people on bikes thinking that they are saving the planet and therefore they own it.:mad:

Had he not stopped, and had I hit him, where do I claim for damage to my car? What an utter, utter ******

On the morning of the funeral, ex wife (knowing the day) started to text me to ask me to drop kids clothes etc to her in the afternoon while the wake was ongoing…..:eek::mad:

So I dropped the stuff in the morning at the ex in-laws, and when they offered condolences, I put them straight on the niceties of life in terms of sending a message to their grandchildren at a sad time.

People never cease to amaze me…..
