That might tie in with the ‘109’s colour scheme…

Chesapeake to the Royal Navy – long take off run and not used “Front line”, the model here has a two blade prop like the one in the picture, FAA had three blades but it could be – wings look a tad short though to be 100% certain ? Plus, is there a tail strut on the aircraft ? Hard to see, but the Vindicator didn’t have one.

Having to report a threat left on the voicemail at work, via our own security then to police, who actually sent two uniformed officers in to listen and take notes. I know its a saddo, he probably knows he is a saddo, but as it stated a specific “course of action” he would follow, and a time limit, it rated as “serious” and we had two uniforms in the building.

    The Dark Knight Rises.

20 mins too long I think, but a fantastic summer blockbuster, it tidies up the trilogy and while it leaves a slight opening at the end for more (I’ll say no more in case of spoilers…) it’s a case of “job done” and a successful franchise “Reboot”.

I just hope, that nobody looks at Batman in a long long time in terms of more films.

    Sitting in a Spitfire Cockpit

Not today I admit, but I just spent a week in Malta and I was with a local I know who took me to the aviation museum, and as a “special” I was allowed to sit in their Mk IX Spitfire, first time ever for me – a very special moment.

If anybody is Malta, pack the factor 50 (It reached 40 degrees last week) and take a trip to the museum. It’s not long been running, but they have some interesting displays, more to come with a Candian Swordfish ready to restore, and they could use the support.

I think this is disgraceful. If they were refused entry due to their race, or colour, the landlord would be in front of a judge by now… Whatever the landlords reason, it’s discrimination and it shouldn’t be allowed.

and there you have it in a word, “discrimination“, had it been “travellers”, “Christians”, “Muslims” or even the board of directors from Barclays Bank, the press would be all over it.

“The planes being moved to Newquay include a Gloster Meteor, De Havilland’s Vampire and Venom and a Cold War veteran spy plane the Pembroke Percival and a Nimrod”

That’ll be why Gary Powers was shot down, had he been in a Proctor and not a U2……

Interesting news, I hope that it has no affect on the Shackelton team, I don’t know the exact relationship there but economies of scale surely on visitors etc?
