I had forgotten how totally pants it is 😡
the attack scene where they lure the “Zeros” past the control tower so “Earl” and his boys (hiding behind desks if I recall?) can jump up and ambush them….:mad: dreadful stuff….
I watched “hereafter” last night, a very thoughtful Clint Eastwood directed film that tells three parallel stories about three people affected by death in similar ways and all three have ideas and thoughts and needs of communicating with the dead.
the ending is a bit sappy, but its subtle, thoughtful, and heart breaking in places.
Now that, is a wonderful piece of news the end the week with. Cudos, credit and thank you to all involved.
I seem to like Peggs films second viewing onwards.
In Paul, I started to notice the references to other major si-fi movies throughout, which on subsequent replays made it much more enjoyable.
That was clever, I was waiting for Sigourny Weaver to shout “get away from her you bitch” as soon as she arrived, or at least somebody to say it to her.

Lasham is only 15 mins from me and I was curious as to what happened to the aircraft and the exhibits from the mini musuem there (some nice bits in their hut)
Having an offer from work, not Redundancy, but to “seperate” after 19 years and 2 months, at my request I should add.
The swear bit comes from the flapping about the pro’s and con’s, from a 5 min drive and flex hours to suit childcare, to the fact that I really, totally, utterly hate what I do with a vengence ! It’s a nice offer, size large….. but:confused:

I mean, come on…… it is a stunning stunning scene. 😎
Paul.
Not as funny as “Shaun Of The Dead” or “Hot Fuzz” but a few good belly laughs, not bad to get you through the Sunday night blues before you head back to work.

may be worth mentioning that to the MOD in case the F-35’s ever go thirsty, maybe ask the AEW question as well :diablo:;)
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
I really wanted to enjoy this, as a period piece it was done so well, but it was dry, slow and with no real background into any of the characters and no trail of breadcrumbs to follow to work out who the “spy” was.
A real let down IMHO.

I guess if you drive a car with illegally tinted windows, an illegal number plate, neglect to wear a seatbelt and then drive for seventeen miles oblivious of the police cars behind you with blues and twos on who are flashing you to pull over you might expect a little more than a friendly
“Good evening sir. Is this your car?”
Moggy
Exactly! The bonnet jump may look excessive but the guy seemed to flout the law or at least be “unware” of it.
