I treated myself to this on blu-ray , I like it, its loud and great fun. It lacks some of the panto’ like charm of the old series, and Hannibal isn’t as smug, but its fun if only to see Murdoch try and jump start an ambulance…. with a Defibrillator:eek:
Words fail me….
Last year Linda Lusardi called 999 to ask for help out of a motorway jam as she was late for her Panto…..
I bet Ben has some words and thoughts on this !

Local authority put some grit/salt bins around the area as there are lots of small driveways and 5 houses here, 4 there etc. So at last, we can salt our way onto the hopefully gritted main road.
Alas no, a blue van was seen at several of them, emptying the lot into the back …..
It’s probably in bags being sold in laybys already……….

I can see some very concerned looking brass monkies outside who appear to be looking for something….
It’s cold with a “stiff breeze” here, white stuff due (light) says the BBC, then heavy at 6 pm…. light again through the night.
The town hasn’t come to a halt yet, but it will…..
Council did put new salt/grit lockers down so I’ve helped myself to that already to keep path and shared driveway/parking area clear.

The model was produced five years ago. The company has since been taken by Hornby.
I spend a lot of time on a die cast forum and I think it’s worth mentioning now that Corgi, and other manufacturers such as Hobby Master do consult now on a far wider basis, making pro-production models and images available for discussion and feedback.
take a look here to see a case in point.

This mistake was avoidable, but they have learned from it (and others) and are sourcing knowledge from a far wider audience.
The soon to be ex Mrs BSG-75. Kids pet dies, so rather than call me and ask me to tell them gently as they are with me, we bump into her in the supermarket after school and she just blurts it out to our little girl, cue tears and upset. Son comes out of school, little girl tells him before I can say a word, cue upset….
so, a few hours later…. all calm…..
Still, Jan 19th is “absolute” day…….

Not snow, but driving home last night in temperatures of -4, a car pulled out in front of me at a junction with all the windows iced up, not even a credit card sized bit cleared on the windscreen, the driver seemed to assume that he could get by seeing the lights of other cars.
Pillock……

I was watching him on TV only the other day in “Due South”, I just had to look at him and me made me smile. His later comic roles seem to be what he is best remembered for.
Sad loss, thank you for the laughs, and the laughs still to come when I watch “Airplane” or “The Naked Gun” or “Police Squad” again.

I love this film. Tightly made and an in depth look at the Cuban Missile Crisis, it touches on the conflict between JFK and the Joint Chiefs as well.
It also has a mix of CGI (not great) archive footage (B-52 with Skybolt) and F-5’s and F-8’s painted up to look operational.
