Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom and The Last Crusade
Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom and The Last Crusade on Bluray – both very good transfers to HD and well worth the money (at, least the current leading applicant for the role of Mrs BSG-75’s money as she bought them for me;) ) Temple Of Doom is full running length with none of the small cuts made for DVD and TV, Crusade is great fun although the HD transfer does go a bit wibble in places with some blurring and curved edges to the frame.
Both great films in their own right, I’ll get to the other two in the box set soon, but a happy evenings entertainment all round !
no sign of it yet though….
Ummm, we will see…….
This was really good to see, I met Mr Bown at Duxford 2 years ago, he was just a really nice guy, he has done so much in life, and there he was, short, far from inposing, full of conversation with my son. That was a good day out.
The IWM were offered an F-14 some years back, but turned it down due to the type’s lack of relevance to the UK. I believe it was then offered to Newark, who also turned it down.
I hope TwinOtter sees the thread and picks this point up, I am not speaking for Newark but I understood that there was an offer for an F-14, but it was buyer collect, ship, decommission, take to pieces and build again – at a massive cost.
Newark is an excellent museum, I had the pleasure of some “Up close and personal” viewings a couple of years ago, TwinOtter let me get under the Viggen etc, and bought me tea and biscuits!
Had it been possible and affordable, an F-14 (a long long sought after aircraft for me….) would be there, but alas….. 🙁
managing a disciplinary at work, the guy was fired for “misappropriation”…. over £600 of company funds in a single month. Walk of shame to his desk to clear it out, then on out of the building.
silly **** was bang to rights, but it’s still hard to do…..

“Looper” – time travelling adventure, time travel is a perfect plot device, and this plot has holes in it you can fly a container load of Burmese Spitfires through….. or not…. 😉
I’ve taken to using my nectar points/Sainsburys price check coupon to by a movie that I “may like”, this one cost me 18p in real terms….. that about sums it up….

Mmmmmm. Tara 😮
Remember the Camomile Lawn…..;) Much to admire in her performance….. she has a certain something….. I think (if its your thing) she is in the next series of Game Of Thrones.
I started part time in a shop (bejam anybody ?) at 15 and often paid N.I when we had overtime etc. Started full time work at 18 after 6th form, made redundant 22 years ago, out of work for 6 weeks, never claimed, been at full time work ever since. One salary increase (less than 2%) in four years, and I moved into a higher rate tax band 8 odd years ago so if I do score a bonus I pay even more of it to the good folk who like to claim it.
I’ve done long commutes to London (5:45 get up…) shift work until 4 am…. travel all hours and distances, and recently as per my own thread was royally shafted, but still turn up and still pay my tax/N.I.
It does bring out the enraged Daily Mail reader in me when I read of things like this.

You never “Know” people on a forum, it’s all about impressions that you get from the post and Avatar etc (I can’t read Moggy’s posts without seeing a sneer from the character in Piece Of Cake….:o) but somehow Kev35 and facebook doesn’t equate to me !?
I wish him a speedy recovery, I don’t always agree with what he posts but he is one of the most erudite and coherent members and I miss his contributions.
I wish you well Kev35, get well soon and hope to see you back here.

Sherlock Holmes, whatever the second Robert Downey Junior one is called, it’s shocking, just so bad, it’s 2 hours of my life that I want back. (Ok, the other half watched it while I browsed a book and peered over my glasses to scoff at it) – It may as well have been called “Super Victorian Secret Agent with 21st Century approach” – it’s just utter ****.
The A Team – bad day at work, as per, flop out, glass of wine, detach brain and allow eyes to be entertained…. worth it alone to see Murdoch try to jump start an ambulance…… stupidly complex plot (which is what killed it at the box office) but oh so much fun ! (IMHO of course…..)
To each their own, but I hated the first of these two with a vengence, and love the latter !
