    I couldn’t agree more

Hah! I’d watched her die. There was no ‘mercy’ present. God, is a sad joke and it’s time we left that mumbo-jumbo behind, and took care of our terminally ill humans as well as we do our pet animals.

    Moggy

Hear Hear – Cancer claimed both of my parents, at the ages of 67 and 73. They both died in the end in the local Hospice, which is an astonishing place where patients are treated with dignity and care. They both withered away, and certainly in the case of my mother, it effected her mentally as well. I think they both would have appreciated at least the choice of electing to be assisted in the treatment and, well, call it what you will, “assisted suicide” rather than spend weeks or longer slipping away.

A vicar who was a former neighbour carried out the cremation service for my father, she came to the house to talk about what we (my brothers and I) wanted, a letter from the consultant offering condolences and praising Dad’s dignity and courage was asked to be read, and I wanted an open reference that he was given when he left the army to be read – it was from a Major, on his own headed personal paper talking about a National Service Corporal, I was proud of that. But no, she went straight to prayer as it will help us grieve. Seethe maybe, but not grieve. She came back to do Mum’s service and I didn’t talk with her, she was always looking to push her beliefs onto others.

A guy walking around the office today with a big box and a step ladder, taking down one neon strip light out of three to save money on the lighting bill.

I sense a career change in my very near future…….. and having time to look after my garden……

The first half is almost classic Indy – with the fisticuffs and the chase through the university – but once they get to Peru, it’s open season on credibility for all concerned!

almost like the two makers of the film did one half each, guess who did the naff half !?:eek:

Wreck-It Ralph – interesting latest animation from Disney, not up there with the best (Up, Incredibles etc) and very obscure humour in places, but nice to see some thought in a childrens film and not just aim it at happy meal sales and merchandise.

Skyfall – Am still unsure about this, odd mix of “old” Bond and “new”….. daft villan, secret HQ etc, then new style violence etc…. a muddled film I think…..

Had to go back to the solictor to get involved with Cruella – all expense that I don’t want, but Oi, love, you can’t committ to anything without a discussion, certainly if its to do with the kids while in my care and oh, taking our daughter to the doctor without telling me is a no no, I really should know about these things…….

Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Ummm, it’s just not very good is it ? It lacks the charm of the earlier films and you really wish that they hadn’t bothered at all.

Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom and The Last Crusade

Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom and The Last Crusade on Bluray – both very good transfers to HD and well worth the money (at, least the current leading applicant for the role of Mrs BSG-75’s money as she bought them for me;) ) Temple Of Doom is full running length with none of the small cuts made for DVD and TV, Crusade is great fun although the HD transfer does go a bit wibble in places with some blurring and curved edges to the frame.

Both great films in their own right, I’ll get to the other two in the box set soon, but a happy evenings entertainment all round !
