Those who alread read, i regret for the mess of paragraphs. I cleaned it up. Thanks to a member for bringing it to my notice. 🙂
no dinesha, “not yet” its “mey be, we will know shortly” we are jumping gun here. “It Might”
The Scorpene deal is not through.
sub launched version is same as basic ground/ship launched version it will be fired from cold launch vls cell there were plans for 25.6″ torp tube launched version of onyks but i assume that has been axed.
The sub based launch spec is not avaliable. But i was pointing out to launch through torpedo tubes issue. The logic given was that if not 670 mm dia torp tubes, how will the sub launch Brahmos. I merely replied that in that case a Brahmos may not ever be launched from Indian sub as they all have those tubes. Scorpene with modular design could be modified to accomadate alternate possibilities for launching Brahmos with some structural changes in Brahmos itself (like they are doing for air launched version)
Brahmos director says sub launched version is not sought, it will be interesting if they could tell the sub launch specs if IN says it wants it.
Sub launched Brahmos will have different specs.. Else it will not fit any of the India subs.
imho Brahmos- extended version will be on next gen subs. Scorpenes are modular. Integrations are possible. Just that Armaris has to be involved, else bye bye warranty.
Whats the distance beteen Indra point to northern tip of Heilongjian? 😉
The news is periodic. While monthly periods are reserved for the female gender, Deccan herald is suffering annual periods. :dev2:
It’s very inobtrusive isn’t it? Nice shot

Don’t think so, Its tucked n the side. Less place for the tractor though.

Their single biggest external security threat is US friendly fire.
Being launched from INS Godavari 😉

Ok its the torpedo. It was displayed in BDL stall in AERO India 05 stall. The stall was right in front of our stall. So it happened, i was briefed in through by the DGM Marketing BDL.
The torpedo works. The fact is that it will not enter production in hurry. IN is facing shortage of torpedos and hence its buying. The thing about failure is the usual media “annonymous” sources at work. Just that it took time to make it, which happens to be bit late.
Wise words. I suppose its for the rest of the world except chinese.
Still awaiting something credible on J-10 being indegenious.
