    Compare to what?
What is the purpose of any asset?
To be compared or to do the mission as best as possible?

Would the Scorp do the job better then a 636 or a 212?
Well, who knows? And who cares?
Because two navies don’t have the same exact use (nor training, nor doctrine) for a similar asset.

Smaller fleet have defeating bigger ones all the time in history.
You need one guy who can do things the others won’t dare to, and do it well, and the troups to follow.
That is not because one army has 201 planes that it will beat the one that has only 200, or even 50!

Remeber that japanese army had a 1 to 5 odd when taking Singapore.
In how many days? And they were bad equipped!

chill sir i just made a tech comparison 😀 .. ultimately it comes down to crew , commanding and tactics.. 🙂

but seriously we need a ssn type of ssk like collins class …
scorpene can carry only 5- torpedos  worthless
our kilo was better than tht….

I dont think it san do sustainable supercruise ..
still 800nm on 1.8mach isnt bad.

what i’ve heard AL41F can supercruise and its meant to replace engine of sukhois within next five years or so.. so can well se it for a upgrade or some batches coming later.
thing is its very expensive now.plus i’ve seena article it wont do good in 5th gen fighter as 5th gen fighter needs a engine better than AL41F … its a deep deep modification of AL31F.
correct me if i’m wrong peeps.

yes deal was signed in january…
thanks to our Admiral Arun Prakash .. he cleared in a press conference barak is performing good.. so a ban on IAI is not likely to happen on the barak-1 controversy and hopefully we’ll see the light of barak 2 soon.
we desperately need barak -2’s to counter harpoon/exocet tht pakistan has.is it possible for it?
