    Llamas don’t seem to have a voice,except for one which was making a low murmuring sound.I said to my daughter it sounded like a pigeon cooing,to which she replied,
    ” You’re an idiot Mum.That’s two doves having sex in the roof.”

    There are reindeer there as well.

    Last week the freezer packed up and quietly defrosted itself over the garage floor.
    I sent the husband out ON HIS OWN to buy a replacement.
    My mistake.
    It was delivered today.
    Now,instead of a nice capacious freezer,we own one that just might,at a stretch,hold enough food to have a dollies’ tea party.

    GA was talking about the Spanish flu pandemic,which did indeed kill more young people rather than the elderly and infirm that you’d expect.

    Vaguely on the subject of the thread,there’s a programme on BBC Radio 4 this Tuesday August 17th, called What’s the point of the RAF ?
    Broadcast at 9 a.m.,repeated at 9 30 p.m. the same day.

    I don’t imagine that those two million women who lived their lives without the comfort of a husband or children saw it that way.
    I should have said,that two million was in this country alone,I don’t know the figure worldwide.
