Hi OldTimer,
Would like to shoot RAW but would need even more Compact Flash cards, I took around 500 shots at Biggin, and that was in very hazy conditions.

If i’m not mistaken she was on static at Biggin at the weekend ust along from the static chinook. During the day three WAAF re-enactors were singing a few wartime tunes with some great harmonies and stockings 😉
Would this be the one Chris.

I know which one I’d sooner have.
Seen at DX in May.

Did the Lysander make the journey to Biggin, as it was billed to display with the storch, they even had a large section of the programme devoted to it.

Great shots Gareth, I must make the trip up to Breighton next year.

Thanks for clearing that up, Dees01.
I agree with multivac, would have loved to have seen Delta trio display on the saturday.

PS Thanks Skyraider 3D.

Here’s Ray Hanna keeping 434 close to the deck at Biggin yesterday.

It’s probably a ridiculous rumour but I heard a company were going to ‘colourise’ the original Dambusters film and re-release it on dvd. A remake with today’s cgi would be great!
Not that ridiculous, there is a colourised version of The Longest Day.

The often overlooked Sgt J H ‘Ginger’ Lacey.

Hi Cking,
What a shame ‘Flying Tigers’ closed, spent many enjoyable hours there during various trips to Florida.

[QUOTE=Moggy C]I see there’s a three-parter on the Battle coming up on the History Channel. Criticised for passing off BoB movie clips and outakes as documentary film.
Hi Moggy, just a quick post to put the record straight.
The History Channel has not tried to pass off the Battle of Britain film clips as original Battle of Britain action. At the start of the programme they clearly state the source of the colour footage, Guy Hamilton the films director even gets a credit at the end.
IMHO, well worth a look, great footage, complimented by surviving pilots first hand accounts.
Some great never before shown footage appeared in the first programme;
On board Casa 2111 (He 111) take off, Rear seat view from the two seater Buchon and a rather nice shots of one of the BBMF PR XIX’s in film markings.

Very nice Will,
Great to see the Dove/Devon in such good shape.
PS Love that artistic cloud shot.

It wouldn’t be a photo taken through a window of a certain Spitfire 22 thats now in the Science museum London.
