Very Disappointing News. 😡
However, times change and we should move with them. 🙂

A belated one from me too Tom!
Hard to think you’re only 16!
Hope you had a good day. 🙂

Well I’m back.
I will try and get a report done soon; flew out on G-JMCE and arrived half an hour early….greeat.
Not so great coming back (just my luck of late); flew on G-FCLB; an hour and half delay and then an aborted landing/go around at Newcastle on the return to gusty winds just before touch down. I know these things are fairly routine, but when you’re expecting to hit the tarmac and all of a sudden find yourself flung back in your seat and shooting upwards; its scary!
Great photos Ben – thanks for all your effort. 🙂
I’m staying in Costa Teguise. 🙂
Excellent Report. 🙂
Was very interested to read about your 767/777 KLM reports as I flew their 767 to and from EWR last November and will do the same this, only I get to return on a 777 from JFK this time.
I have to agree with your analysis of the 767; its a pretty basic aircraft but nothing out of the oridinary for 767 Transatlantic ops. I flew BZB and BZD in November.
Your 777 report is excellent; I really am looking forward to flying the 777 home with that kind of entertainment. The only problem is, the home flight is the sleepy one, so I’ll probably end up nodding off and missing all the fun!
Great Pics Tom! 🙂
Can anyone confirm if Virgin et al have resumed Florida flights yet?
All updates welcome. 🙂
Excellent Reports Tom; sounds like you had a great holiday and two cracking flights. 🙂
Britannia has always been one of the best charter airlines in the U.K. and IMO remains so.
I’ve travelled with them a number of times and whilst I’d agree they’re not as good as they used to be; for shear punctuality; they’re pretty good and I’ve never had a delay.
In recent years though as I’ve flown with Air 2000 and JMC (now First Choice and Thomas Cook), I’d have to say these guys have overtaken Britannia.
From my own personal experiences only, I would rank the main U.K. Charter airlines in the following order:
1) First Choice
2) Thomas Cook
3) Britannia
4) My Travel
5) Monarch
The top 3 are very close IMO, with a big gap before MYT and MON come over the line. This isn’t based on statistics but my own experiences, though I don’t think the statistics out there will be that different.
No news still from my family. Presume they’re ok? 😮
I think they’ll have no choice other than to charter other aircraft??
As an aside, most people tend to get angry because of lack of communication, rather than the fact that there is a hurricane in tow.
Imagine, you’d saved up for two or three years to go on a dream holiday and then you get your flight cancelled. No amount of ‘reality’ will stop you from being angry and frustrated and if you don’t get told what is happening frequently, people will get annoyed, particularly if they have 2 previously very excited, now very disappointed, tired and bored kids with them.
All I’m saying is, this will be a highly emotional time for passengers and their reactions at times like this won’t necessarily be their normal reactions.
