Thats still before next summer though.
I’m almost certain they still exist; I’ve flown recently and had them but can’t remember whether it was on Britannia or KLM?
A strange thought but isn’t the reason the A300s are going because of the ‘D’ check requirement?
Am I also right by saying the 10-30 is also due for ‘D’ at the end of the summer?
In other words, are they not swapping one cost for another? (With the added difference of 1 v 2 birds?)
Terrible news for you both Lyndon, and of course all of your colleagues.
I wish you all the best going through the next few weeks and months, but you will get through it. Take Care. 🙂
I’m not so sure unstable is the right word.
That said, many of the comments you have made are not new to this and many other aviation forums.
I personally like BMI and think they’re a great airline. I’ve had great service when I’ve flown with them; they’ve provided great service to my local airport and have been innovative in providing transatlantic routes from Manchester; a rareity for a U.K. scheduled airline. For me, the vast majority of feedback is positive.
I’ve heard many negatives about baby and have seen from the MME arrivals board that baby aren’t the most punctual of airlines. That is the only negative thing I can think of really.
I don’t expect anything will happen to the LHR route. 🙂
Isn’t it unusual to get an EZY 733 into NCL these days?
Great shots! 🙂
Hmmm; the two I’m interested in there are the daily LAX route and AA taking over from BA?
I thought BA were going to send in the 763 for refurb so it can continue doing the stalwart service on this route?
Interesting rumours none the less; would love to see LAX start up. 🙂
Fantastic news!
Keep us informed. 🙂
Great, thanks Pablo. This begs the question then of ‘why’; unless there is a political reason like BM suggests.
I agree completely BM. 🙂
That could be true Pablo but I have a feeling some A321s were acquired after this.
I’m also wondering why MYT have let some A320s go when I thought they were focussing on Airbus and slowly replacing the 757?
BM,
What could Edinburgh support in terms of Runway capacity?
In terms of PAX; I would ‘think’ and I could be wrong that Edinburgh will see a lot of American originating passengers whilst Glasgow may see the opposite. Does anyone know if this is true?
I personally would be surprised to see an upgrade at such an early stage but you never know, if the demand and infrastructure is there; then why not?
I haven’t stopped thinking about this since I read the report.
Papa Lima – I’m with you, I feel quite nervous about something happening now. Before, I took it in my stride but now this gives me the feel of imminence.
This is scary for 2 reasons; one because it may actually happen and two because the desired fear factor is already happening and I am sucumbing to that.
This story has scared me.
I hope like hell this isn’t something sinister.
Does anyone know when an announcement is expected to be made on this?
