Well I’ve just seen the latest schedule on pprune and the only Turkey flights are with Onur and Pegasus. Before the pull out, I’m sure MYT had a slot on a Monday night/Tuesday morning, so it looks like this is the one thats going.
JKK appear to have a based aircraft from Wednesday onwards, even operating the Cyprus Larnaca flight.
The 2005 brochures are out later this month; it will be interesting to what happens then at MME. I don’t think they had a lot of choice but to replace many of the flights this year because the decision was taken late, but next year who knows?
Fingers crossed, another UK airline comes in.:)
Rich,
I’ve flew long haul on MYT330s and had a great flight. Downstairs toilets, Personal TVs and cockpit video-cams are just some of the things that make MYT stand out.
Plus, the A330 is a beautiful aircraft – those wings are just awesome.
Enjoy your trip. 🙂
You’ve just shown everyone how much i care about TeeSSide.
Nice to know you care. 🙂
I actually love Newcastle Airport. I think its a fantastic local airport thats gone from strength to strength in recent years. Easyjet will have a massive impact on there this year.
We, I doubt, will ever match you. However, we’re heading in the right direction. With Peel Holdings behind the airport, a small low-cost network getting going and passenger numbers on the up, things are certainly improving down here. 🙂
Actually, I don’t know whats happening with DTV name.
I know its been agreed but all marketing from the airport is still coming out as ‘Teesside’. I’m guessing they’ll officially launch the new name in the not too distant future.
The little hut is spelt Teesside. 🙂
Everything is relative Concordesst.
This year will be Teesside’s busiest year; a typical summer day will see:
4 x Aberdeen
3 x Amsterdam
3 x Heathrow
1 x Dublin
1 x Belfast
2 x Bmi Baby Holiday Destinations
4 x Summer Charter Flights
By my reckoning, thats 18 flights a day; slightly more than the 4 you quote. Sure, far less than Newcastle, but then we’re smaller than Newcastle.
If you’re going to be rude; at least get your facts right. 🙂
Last Flights:
Eastern Airways J41 G-MAJH and G-MAJM on Leeds Bradford – Isle of Man Return.
Next Flights:
Helios Boeing 737-800s; Newcastle to Larnaca
Thomas Cook Boeing 757-200s; Newcastle to Arrecife
KLM Fokker 70, Boeing 767-300 & Boeing 777-200; Teesside to Amsterdam to Newark; returning via JFK.
Excellent shot, and testiment to NWA.
The Olympic didn’t sink; its sister ship the Britannic sank during WW1 in the Med. The olympic survived until it was scrapped.
There was a documentary on channel 5 about this earlier this week.
I have heard a lot of rumours over the last few weeks about possible financial problems at EAL. Some comments I have read even suggest they could end up going under.
I have to say though that this is just rumour and I cannot back up these comments at all. Would be very sad news if it became true.
Weekly ski holiday charter I think? 🙂
Sounds like Spanair will be doing most of the flights now with only 4 MYT flights remaining unaccounted for.
I’m particularly curious who will run the Wednesday Larnaca flight?
Exactly Michael; I wrote the thread (I think) on pprune and thats precisely my question. What is happening with the 762s?
Excellent LBA – Very much appreciate this! 🙂
Aaah, thats what I’m trying to get to LBA.
Thanks…any information you get would be great though…thanks.
Also where you get your information from would be useful as I can then stop being a pain in the arse to you guys and start doing some god damn work myself…lol 😉
