    Just to let you all know, I’ve got sorted. 🙂

    Not so sure its the best deal, but as I’ve continued to check for flights daily, I’ve noticed the prices increasing. Anyway, I got the hotel I wanted and I’m flying KLM (again).

    An F70 from Teesside into Amsterdam.
    A 767 to Newark
    A 777 from JFK back to Amsterdam.
    And finally, another F70 back home.

    Looking forward to getting a ride on one of the new 777s.

    Just to let you know I contacted Oakley Travel and these guys were about £120 more expensive than what I paid for this year. I think the answer will to be wait for a little while.

    It’ll be a shame to see the 343 go. I’d love to see a Boeing 777 in Virgin colours but don’t think its likely; even less so the 764.

    Because to be honest KLM have been cheaper than Jet2.

    If KLM are dearer, the cost of travelling to Teesside as opposed to Leeds negates the saving.

    I would love to travel Jet2 one day though. 🙂

    I live in Middlesbrough, so Teesside is my local airport. This means I can connect in Heathrow or Amsterdam quite easily.

    I’ll happily fly from Newcastle or Leeds Bradford though.:)

    Certainly that was the position last year; I would have expected it to be the same this year. Would have been nice to see two 762’s up there though.

    A330 is IMO (and I’m biased) the most elegant wide-body flying. To look out of the windows at those wings is truly amazing.

    I too have flown an Airtours A330, as well as a JMC example both of flights to Cancun. Both had PTV’s but the Airtours example was more comfortable and appeared more spacious thanks to the downstairs loos.

    The best aircraft in the sky. 🙂

    Great pictures.

    Those were obviously the two Tenerfie arrivals on Friday. Always good to see pictures of my local airport.:)
