I know the named the John Lennon aircraft, but I’m sure most that have gone in for repaint have not had their names reapplied.
If the 767’s come in Wys, that’ll make you eligible to fly them right? Because of the same ****-pit. Does this mean you could start doing long-haul?
Interesting point you make about the -300 being bumpy at the back – I can quite imagine that actually.
More good news for LBA heh Preston! 😀
A little annoyed at the Prague route. I really don’t know how BMI Baby will successfully operate an MME-Prague route when both LBA and NCL will have low cost operations going there!
I’m looking forward to seeing more A321’s in MYT colours!
Does anyone know what MYT aircraft we @ MME will get this year. Please don’t tell me its going to be another Skyservice A320! It’d be nice to see something different.
I saw a JMC 753 not too long ago and its not until you see it in the flesh that you realise how long they are. The 752s already look ‘too long’ IMO, the 753’s just look as if they’re going to snap. Wys – have you flown a 753 yet? Are there any differences from the pilot’s point of view?
Good idea by BY – I heard that they were stopping naming aircraft – so this is welcome.
Thanks everyone….
I’ve checked out some of the flight reviews and BY’s service levels appear to have dipped somewhat. I noticed that my flight with them last year wasn’t as good as it used to be. I remember a time when BY were the king of charters with AMM being a close second. Who is top now then?
Plus can anyone add anything about the 763s current liveries/positioning. Jethro’s site suggests many are still on sub-lease. Is this still the case?
I wonder if it will be using one of the Skyservice A320’s?
Thanks guys….
TCX A330’s also have PTV’s by the way.
We’re off to Cancun Michael, so fingers crossed for some hot caribbean weather! 🙂
I can’t wait.
Great news for local airports Carl; I just hope we can catch LPL up now we have their investors and BMI Baby on the way! 🙂
Back to the top – just for you Preston! 🙂
Welcome back Preston!
I was gutted you weren’t here to share my news last week – I do have a thread on this; I’ll bring it back to the top just for you:)
How was your holiday?
Could be saturation; BMI need to be careful with route selection but it can only be positive news for MME with rumour that Ryanair are to expand here too. Maybe my doom and gloom of some weeks ago was unwarranted.
Isn’t a lot of this down to size of aircraft as much as an anything else; i.e. turbulence/power etc… being more noticeable in a smaller aircraft.
You’re not alone in these thoughts mate – I just hope baby survive until October to at least get operations started here.
Confirmation in the local paper this evening that Ryanair are considering expanding at Teesside with a-net rumours suggesting Germany as one destination.
You can tell I’m excited today can’t you? 🙂
lol…Rhino.
I recall you mentioning it and you were proved right!:)
I had certainly never seen anything official on this until this morning though. There is something on a-net today about Ryanair expanding at Teesside – don’t know if that is just a rumour though.
Confirmation now available on bmi baby’s website.
Teesside will be their fourth base, with two aircraft initially based there creating 50 new jobs. Operations will start in October 2003 and definitive details of routes will be released at a later date.
At last confirmation::D 😀
