Beautiful! More Messershmitt/Buchon photos required!
May I say how lovely you look Augsburgeagle!:D Never knew Messerschmitt Mechanics wore such regalia!!
well it was the weekend…

it wasn’t just aeroplanes and cars!
I shall be there tomorrow dressed as a Messerschmitt works engineer 😉
109’s and crosswinds do not mix, I don’t know what limits the Messerschmitt stiftung impose on their aircraft but they seem to be fairly open minded about crosswinds and tarmac runways
they’re only after your engines…..
I couldn’t find the thread previously where i’d wished for this scenario however i’m pleased to see it has come to fruition! Sadly however there is not too much to the construction of a 323, it’s tubular lattice construction with a fabric covering, the armoured cockpit and undercarriage being the only really resilient pieces, I will be interested to see what they have discovered!

Gives you an idea of whats left after you remove the fabric!!!!
I thought it was fairly self explanatory
When I viewed the aircraft quite a few years ago I seem to recall that it has been on a fire dump and the metal had been heated and damaged, it certainly had a very memorable burnt smell to it!
it’s going to be quite the machine 😮
88 seat, i’ll take it:

I think I can see some of those guncam frames in this photo set, much better detail on here

I would absolutely love to see the original gun camera frames in the flesh, the detail must be quite something
I think in the next few years the flying population should at least double, let’s hope that they’re all going to have pilots who know what they’re in for at the healm.
It’s going to be a big project……..
I’m still waiting for someone to build an F, arguably the best fliers of the 109 series and very aesthetically pleasing, wasn’t the engine that Connie Edwards sold destined for an F in Australia, must have been a pretty serious project if they aquired such a motor.
Just as a little aside if you’ve never stood next to 109 while it’s running up then you’ve got quite an experience to look forward to, the way it shakes your whole body combined with the supercharger whistling away has to be felt to be believed, Merlins are no substitute! (they are great though!)
