The DUB-MCO flights are operated by A330s, I dont think the MON premium product is anything amazing in comparison to the likes of EY and EK but it is certainly better than the ECO offering.

This isnt the first time that BA have sent bags to Milan, they did so last summer also. Bags for Scotland were shipped to a warehouse in Glasgow and processed there, BA are also shipping bags to LGW to be forwarded from there, this only works for destinations served from both LHR and LGW.

Im on the front line for baggage enquires in DUB and I can thankfully say that things are getting better, does that meen that people are taking other options? Bags are still missing connections on a huge scale but certainly better than they were late last week.

I wish people would stop making excuses for BA and BAA, its a disgrace and inexcusable.

Whats even worse is that many of the problems that T5 is having have happened in other new terminals around the world and yet they still didnt learn from other mistakes.

This was a great opportunity to make up for all the problems in the past but yet again BAA make a mess of it!

The world is laughing at this joke that Heathrow and BAA have become!

Its a disgrace and not acceptable at all. BA are as bad for moving into T5 not knowing if it was going to work.

Looking at the lists of BA missing bags around Europe for this evening makes me believe that the maority of BA flights left LHR T5 with NO bags on them today.

    ”British efficiency”

I hope to god that all goes well, it should be an interesting few days ironing out any problems that crop up.

BA and BAA say this will solve all their problems handling wise, so the world is watching with bateted breath lets wait and see, Im not overly optimistic Im afraid but hoping that they prove me wrong.

Futura Gael is a ”seperate” airline from Futura. Their code is FGL.

I flew on their inaugural flight from DUB-DUB lol it was very nice free snacks and drinks etc.

The point of Futura Gael is it has an Irish licence and are allowed to operate charters outside the EU to places like SSH and KEF.

Rumour has it that DUB will have 2 based ZB aircraft this summer! We normally get a A300 based Thursday-Sunday.

Ive also heard that they will have a rather big long haul programme from DUB this summer.

I dont think an airport authority will close a runway just because of wind, they may close it if there is danger of debry getting onto it.

Airlines themselves will have certain restrictions on what weather their planes can land varying from airline to airline or aircraft to aircraft.

I work mainly for an airline operating LHR-DUB flights with connections and my advise is STAY AWAY FROM HEATHROW!

Ive never made the trip myself but hope to do so in the next 1-2 years!

I know quite a few people who have done it , a close colleauge of mine did it in November flying the long way around DUB-LAX-MEL.

My granmother is in New Zealand at the moment and she flew DUB-LHR-BKK-SYD-CHC and she is 70 so if she can do it anyone can.

I believe your local airport is SCQ so a 2 stop journey is inevitable perhaps Skyteam SCQ-CDG-ICN-SYD or Star SCQ-FRA-SIN-SYD.

Im sure the flight can be quite boring but as you will be on pretty long sectors more thsn likely the airlines you fly will have IFE etc.
