That doesn’t matter. Noone gives damn about Chinese “high-tech”. Not in Europe, anyway. China is still unable to sell a decent sedan or a medical ultrasound here, let alone a helicopter or a fighter aircraft. This will not have changed anytime soon.
Let me know when Europe can put a nuclear battery powered rover on the Moon like China does later this year :highly_amused:

I am not quite sure if the lcs is suited to china’s needs (or anybody elses). On the other hand hornets landing gear and other deck mechanisms may prove useful. I really hope they got the best from the f35. 1.4 trillion…
They already have DSI, AESA, helmet displays etc. I’m not quite sure what they can get from F-35, which is plagued with difficulties that could push IOC to beyond 2017.
Could be another clandestine operation by Obama sending classified military files to China :eagerness:
Reaper cloned by China as Pterodactyl :eagerness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsSD6wOU15s
Fixed
French and Spanish and Portuguese are Catholic and treat natives with respect. Native traditions are kept in Mexico home of the Aztec and Maya and others. Quecha is still an official language in Peru home of the Inca.
In Peru:
Amerindian 45%, mestizo (mixed Amerindian and white) 37%, white 15%, black, Japanese, Chinese, and other 3%

In Mexico:
mestizo (Amerindian-Spanish) 60%, Amerindian or predominantly Amerindian 30%, white 9%, other 1%

tis bad i say, but at least in America they teach about it to their children its bad. just like how the UK teaches about British imperialism to young lads.
Oh really now? Sending weapons to terrorists in the ME, blatantly breaking international laws, what have we here :highly_amused:
You could well have included Xinjiang too.
The English took the lands of the native Americans. What do you say about that?
and it was tested on the F-16 way back in 1996. A full decade before the JF-17. We know where the first idea for this came from and that was Lockheed Martin, not China.
Prove it. F-35 AA-1 prototype didn’t fly till after JF-17 PT-04 prototype did. Same year, but later :eagerness:
so now the JF-17 is competitive against the IAF’s Flankers is it, thanks to DSI ? :highly_amused:
ergo, the Typhoon and Rafale must be non-competitive against the Flankers since they still don’t feature DSI.
Pakistan and India would never go to war. Even a puny Syria has paralyzed the world for years. Pakistan is a nuclear power and has a population of hundreds of millions.
LM tested it on the F-16 way before it was even developed for the JF-17. They tested it on the F-16, found the performance improvement marginal, and didn’t believe it offered much of an improvement to justify the change from the existing inlet to the new one.
It is possible the Chinese tested DSI before the Americans did :eagerness: DSI was applied on JF-17 in 2006.
Just wondering what other operational fighter had dsi intakes.
If it’s very old why doesn’t America have DSI planes? :highly_amused:
^^ Ouch!! These comments must be very painful for Pakistan … calling their all mighty fighter JF17 low tech and their skill set even lower. At least you could have said, Pakistan and China designed it together. Ready to sell J-10 to everybody else but not to Pakistan. When you can give n-weapons what is wrong with j-10.
What happened to “higher than Himalayas and deeper than sea” friendship and “iron brothers”
When dealing with Pakistan, prepare to give free lunch now and then … they are used to it…
To be fair, China did all the design work. Pakistan has no expertise in high tech. Don’t forget JF-17 is the first operational jet having DSI :eagerness:
my speculations for 2013:
no new export customers
Definitely not from the Middle East. That place is American and Russian territory. Sri Lanka might be a potential customer :eagerness:
1,3,4,5 = good points
2 = not sure if it is scary looking. DSI makes it look like its smiling at you
That was the 3rd proto 1031. This was the 5th proto 1035.

so what are the advantages and disadvantages of DSI?
1. cleaner looks and less aerodynamic drag
2. scarier looks
3. hides titanium engine blades which means significantly reduced frontal radar signature
4. no moving parts which means less weight and no need for regular maintenance
5. easier construction
There is no disadvantage to DSI, which is why Chinese planes use DSI.
