Here you go, read all about it

All very interesting. You just hope the 30 min. timer is working correctly. Imagine just crossing the threshold
and it suddenly goes dark !!
And last not forget the BBC
Yes, think how much the BBC could/will save by not having to broadcast any Scottish regional programmes.
How does this work ?
I also see that the Lancaster souvenir trailer will be at Duxford on Friday afternoon as well as over the weekend.
I was hoping it would be. It would be silly not to take every opportunity to raise much needed funds.
Surely the biggest problem with aircraft like this, is the English weather ?
They very soon start to look rather tatty.
Doesn’t Duxford count as a Battle of Britain station ?
I think you can put that idea out of your mind. Not because I don’t JJ will ever fly but because I don’t think we’ll ever see the Canadian one this side of the pond again. I would dearly love to be proved wrong and see her come over for the season the same year JJ does her first year on the airshow circuit. Now that would definitely be worth selling the house, the wife, the kids and the cat to see.
How could you do that to your cat ? 🙁
Thanks for info.
Alan
I’ve seen a lot of people at Duxford wearing the tour hat so you will definitely need the Times and the carnation. I’ll be wearing a hat that has ‘Grumpy Old Man’ on it. 😀

I shall also have the wife (trying to look interested) in tow 🙂
Do you mean to say you do not have the Tour T-shirt, fleece and scarf?!:D
There’s still time, if they have their caravan open 🙂
My wife and I plan to be there this Friday. I just hope there is some activity, as the weather forecast is favourable.
I shall probably be wearing my “Lancaster Tour” baseball cap, a copy of the times under my arm, and a red carnation
behind my left ear. So if anyone wants to say hello.
P.S. I was lying about the times and the carnation 🙂
Agreed, they have brought out enormous crowds all over the country. We should be grateful for their efforts.
Does anyone have any idea what the state of play is, regarding the engine repair ?
What a shame that the Lancasters are not allowed to fly lower.
Not counting those lucky enough to have seen them more than once or those who “caught a glimpse”, several hundred thousand I would have thought.
I know someone from Wales, who thought she wouldn’t see them. She was at a cousins wedding a couple of weeks ago, and they had an outdoors reception. What should fly over when they were celebrating ?… Almost makes it worthwhile going to a relations wedding 🙂
I love this video of the Dawlish display. : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPCOLI-uQeM
