A great shame when historic aircraft go into decline, but how many Vulcans
can be kept in good condition ? Where is the money going to come from ?

Carolyn Grace still operates her Spitfire from Bentwaters and is due back late tomorrow afternoon hopefully before the museums event finishes at 5pm.

    Cheers – Graham

Are you the Graham who did “The Living Years” CD ?

    What are it’s dimensions ?

At first glance I thought it was off the front of an MC-130E 🙂

That was much more heavy duty though

But if the worst came to the worst I am sure the USA would give us a hand,

    Jim.

    Lincoln .7

I somehow doubt that the US would want to get involved. I don’t think our
    “Special Relationship”, extends that far.

Anyway, I doubt that this posturing will come to anything. Neither country
has the appetite for more bloodshed.

I wonder how much longer they will allow free parking at the old terminal.
Especially when the new car park will soon cost £15 a day. ?

It’ll also be a shame if they close the cafe, once the new terminal is built.
It still gets quite busy in there.

They are going to have to find a new home for XL426 as well, when they extend
the new car park, and demolish the Lancaster club. I think they are on about
    15 months notice ?

    Interesting picture.

    Going by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piece_of_Cake_%28TV_series%29
It says some filming was done at South Cerney.

Without the aircraft in the picture, I would have guessed at Lakenheath or Bentwaters, but that would be highly doubtful.
Going by the bunker and wire fence, it looks like it was either an active, or recently de-activated military airfield.

I’m sure someone who was involved, will tell us the story behind the picture ?

Rather a meaningless claim, without details.

I wonder what we will see for the 100th anniversary of the RAF?

A couple of drones maybe ?
