hey guys found this on warbird resourse forum

    Fairey Gannet AEW.3 G-KAEW

Posted on G-INFO on 9.1.04 to Tim Manna. This is identified as ex XL500 (F9459). My notes show that XL500 is listed at Chatham Historic Dockyard and is ex A2701, Culdrose, Lee-on-Solent, Dowty-Rotol, Lossiemouth, 849 Sqn. (Wrecks & Relics). Another potential flyer to join the growing collection at North Weald. Excellent news.

tim manna is getting a nice growing collection!

the aircraft that surprised me the most was the p-38, i hope the rumours are true about the TFC. The P-38 is a beutiful aeroplane.

When i was doing work experience at school i was bored out of my mind unloading crates from a lorry (@comet). I looked up and i saw Pink lady (french B17) for the first time, that was such a surprise! best part of work experience!

ha ha! i have actually seen that beech! last year i was in the states doing a tour of the west coast. i think i was either on my way from LA to Vegas or Vegas to San Fran when i saw it? i might be totally wrong but i think i have seen it, it looked like someone had crash landed it there and left it? As we went past it i thought it was a beech 18, and said my brother if i had some money i would buy it!

i think it was near a weird town called Goldville/ goldfield? there is alot of ghost towns up in the sierra nevadas!

this is really weird saying ive actually seen a abandoned plane!

i heard a while back that a company in the UK were trying to get salvage rights to a British ship which had planes on it? It was on Russian convoys? Would it be possible to get planes off the merchant ships that have sunk? i would like someone to have a go?

i heard someone else say that alot of aircraft are down a mine in Australia, it would be interesting to find out what is down there?
