they could also maybe bring that Me109 E over from the states, if the film is going to be filmed in the UK?

£1 million isnt enoth for one of those Me 262s ! 😀 😀 i dont think the CAA would allow one to be based in the Uk. If i had the money i would buy either a hurricane, Me109, or get flugwerk to build me a Focke Wulf 190 D-9!

Or my last crazy idea, get Hawker restorations to build a hawker Typhoon?

100 % behind ya, i think that the aircraft should be flying in the Uk by a collector. If the iraqis wanted the plane so much why did they leave it to rot in the desert?

As a “aircraft fan” i dont care where this aircraft has come from, and the morals behind it. As long as i see it in the air im V 😀 . Look at me109 black 6, she would of never had flown in the Uk if the Australian forces didnt bring her back to the UK in WW2.

Ok what would you prefer? a flying Fury at Duxford, or a complete heap in the desert?

i would be more than happy if the furies went to a UK private colection. At least then they would give the aircraft TLC, more than they were having in irag.

i thought the OFMC fury looked great in its iraqi theme? Maybe the TFC could get spares for their fury from iraq?

i think Paul Allens one is a sepatare project, i think his ex north weald example is in Norwich somewhere being restored. Proberly the same place where his fw190 is being restored.

Im not sure if it will be restored fully to a h111 p version. It will be a composite rebuild with alot of CASA parts.

i think this is a pic of the aircraft. I am excited bout this! it will be great to see a formation of a heinkel – me109- fw190 d-9!

The Halifax looks great! is the restoration to static state?

it would be great to see a Halifax fire up on all four engines.

I think the Hendon example should be restored.

I heard a rumour a while back the Trenton Halifax wouldnt be restored to Airworthyness because of the lack of Hercules engines? is this true?

The hendon example is a merlin engined one yeah ………..?

Yeah i think it is unlikely that they will stay. I kinda have the feeling the war against Japan is forgotten in the UK. There is no japanese aircraft or replicas at airshows.

It all depends how well the restoration is, if a collection can get alot of original parts then surely it is worth seing the Zero fly. If you look at the spitfires and hurricanes being restored at the moment, would you say they are reproductions? as alot of the parts are not original? but even if the aircraft is restored for static its not going to be 100% original.

thank you anneorac, excellent website! would love to see the Zero, kate and Kingcobras flying again. I dont know alot about aircraft wrecks, but they dont look in too bad condition? Just just need some TLC!

£24 mil, so their not exactly poor, do they have to pay North Weald for having their boxed up planes based there?

i dont understand why they have all those airworthy aircraft and dont show them off to the public. If i had a P-51 or a Wildcat i would be going to all the airshows and fly them as much as i could? Everyone agree with me there? Does Flying A plan to operate aircraft eventually?

does anyone know what the TFC fleet is valued at?

    yeah Excellent pics mark 12!!!

I would of gone legends just to purely see that aircraft!

But as the flying A services dont like displaying their aircraft, i dont think anyone will see it at the moe.

I heard that the OFMC’s P-40E is going back to NZ, if so a P-47 would be a great addition to their fleet?
