I can’t believe this topic isn’t being discussed more, this would be an epic order and such a win for Airbus. Certainly, it’s on par with the first orders by United Air Lines and Northwest Airlines for A320s.

It seems to me this has all come about because Greece has lied about it’s deficit to the EU, and grossly overspent with money it never had. Now, if you or I had done that I am positive Mr Bank Manager would come down harsh. Greece however is getting money from countries that can’t really afford to. This really is a case of good money after bad. When do you cut your losses?

It doesn’t sit too well on the A380. The cheat-lines are too big, or the lettering is too small. Or both!

The 777-300ER is really the cash-cow for Boeing at the moment, I too think they will update that to protects its position than start a 737 replacement too early.
