That is good news. We, at BDAC, did mourn her leaving us, but it is nice to see the old girl flying again. Noone can beat her blue note being played by Dave Southwood though!!!

At her 40th birthday party, I photoed her flying past venting the Porton tanks, she was co-altitude with me (I was on our buildings roof). My best photo was taken as I fell over…I shall try and dig it out. 🙂

I am going to get some software which apparently helps, and a card reader…regarding your questions:

1) Was the card inserted properly……yep
2) did you operate the video properly …..a bit hastily perhaps on/off with the excitement
3) Is the camera faulty with another card or just this one….nope it is ok with a new card (just wished Id taken a spare!!)
4) Is the card faulty in another camera (don’t check this till you have the card recovered of your data)….we shall see!

The only thing I would say is that those puppies get very very hot inside, yes you can take the doors off, but if it is anything like the Gazelle, they need the emergency jettison handles and mechanisms re-wire locking back on again. Some instrumentation and its batteries do/does not like hot temperatures and can be prone to failure, or in the case of batteries exploding. So I understand the annoyances of those that wanted to photo it, but I can understand why they covered it.
