I believe it is nigh on impossible.
When they flew the L-39’s for the Bond film one over the other they had trouble with the airflow forcing the upper aircraft off. (IIRC Mark Hannah was one of the pilots) so using that knowledge with two like airframes I think such disproportionate types would be no.

Fantastic photos.

I saw the Spitfire and the Harvard return (around 3) as I stopped on the way home from work. Very nice indeed – shame the weather was a bit on the grey side. Also nice to see a Spitfire pottering along as opposed to being “thrown” around.

The one at Wellesbourne I think expired a fair while ago.

There is a very dead G-DTOO at Panshanger. BA flying school used to have the following ones dYOU, dTOO, dCAN, dFLY

For me it is a case of having to work, although I agree with the cost, traffic and Sepp Blatters (sorry MtW joke).

I went on Thursday on my rota’d day off to see some of the early arrivals. Having done that I will try to go again but on the Friday next year.

Also another reason I’ve never been as if not working (paid) I am a working (free – mug?) arm-waving at Turweston for the BGP weekend and associated movements.

I loved helping out at Helidays – almost like an aeroplaning weekend. Long nights walking around keeping it safe though but always worth it…
