I’ve got a week off with my monsters… A varied very long weekend ahead…
Just a wee bit too far for me but enjoy it.
I’ll be there for the crimbo quiz
Hoping to be there. If I am I’ll be working…
Heat seeking missles’d be no good against a Minor – the hottest heat source would be the pilot working hard!
Seriously though luckily the only times we hear of an airliner being brought down by a light aircraft is in an accident situation and even those seem very distant memories now.
Be assured Taifun you can almost guarantee that we aren’t the only ones to have considered it. At the moment such an act on packed 747 would be terrible – what would it be like when the A380 comes into service?
Utterly numb
I never met Steve either but enjoyed his input to the Forum.
My thoughts are with his family at this time.
Godspeed Steve and thanks
Gary
The complete airframe is the ex-Greenpeace machine (Note reg at the end of the hull) and I should think the other is the ex-PS aircraft.
Does the fact they are outside mean the operations have stalled with regard to these two aircraft?
Relax.
I can positively identify it as a D11143/2

But it can’t be there is no floggle toggle switch on this side….
From ‘Carry on abroad’ something on the lines of:
Sid James “Drink?”
June Whitfield “I tried it once and didn’t like it.”
Sid James “Smoke?”
June Whitfield “I tried it once and didn’t like it. Our daughter’s the same.”
Sid Aames “Only child?”

Welcome indeed.
There are others on here that share similar passions… We are a varied bunch that’s for sure.

Apparently the trip up to the UK is quicker as they remove the skis. When they returned they were fitted and they flew a little slower… 😀
I saw all four at Oxford a few years back and they were systematically stripped right down to bare metal and sort of refurbished. I saw the Dash-7 at Duxford once as well.
I think I only ever saw all four lined up at Oxford once. Usually only managed to see three out at a time.
One appeared at PFA Rally at Cranfield too (and landed and departed off the grass)
Great photos there…. Nice to see Trapper69 flying his mount…
I seem to recall the BBC covered this in the last year or so.
I’m sure you are right Steve. It is the Union flag unless flown from a Jack mast at which point they become Union Jacks according to what I remember.
