A little Bucker
Sunday’s display wasn’t a huge affair this year – in fact quite slim. In no real order as I can’t quite remember it with out the programme as reference and that’s at home.
They flew a 6 ship formation in tribute as usual
G-AKPF/V1075 Miles Hawk Trainer III, G-ADWT Miles Hawk and G-AFAX BA Eagle II flew a tail chase.
Then G-ADGP Hawk Speed Six flew a solo display. (would have been nce to have seen all three Miles Hawk in formation.
There was a Chipmunk aero competition…
… and a Tiger Moth one which featured G-AGEG flown and won I believe by someone not too far from here…
There was also Captain Neville’s Flying Circus with Tiger Moths, Jackeroo G-ANZT and a couple of Chipmunks (including G-BCGC/WP903) that flew a balloon bursting then a double limbo and finally an egg(?) drop routine.
Also flown were G-ECAN the Dragon as the guess the height aircraft and Dragonfly G-AEDU flew a lovely display too.
G-ACDA flew a girl on the wing routine too.
All aircraft except G-AFAX and G-ADGP flew from Woburn. These two flew in for the display and departed without landing.

Sorry I didn’t reply to your post but I managed a quick peek at the boards and posted that note on Friday and was otherwise engaged for the Saturday and at Woburn on the Sunday.

I should think the event would be more of a craft sort of thing… More for the locals and the immediate community.
I agree with Moggy and Trumper – think how the security would be for an airshow… I think they would be very cautious about another event. Mildenhall is different to Fairford as it is an operational station as opposed to an occaisional one.

I’m surprised at the size of some of the crews that get out of a Jabiru…
