    Saturday was really busy and the field was closed due to lack of space lots of R44’s a few R22’s and Enstroms and Jet Rangers turning up on the Saturday. The wind kept numbers well down on Sunday. Sunday did include the Bo105 air ambulance and the Police EC.135.

    The French used them in a military role…
    PA.22-150 G-AZRS has the PI of F-MKAC and 22-5141 is an example of one of them.

    Over 60 turned up for the weekend…
    It was coastal at various times of the weekend… but more often than not it seemed to be a long way inland…

    In case anyone wants to know….

    German: 3x Bo105, 1x CH-53G, 1xUH-1D
    Dutch: 1x CH-47, 1x AB412
    Belgian: 1x A109
    Itallian: 1x AB212, 1x HH-3F
    UK: 1x Sioux, 1x Allouette (no Scout as she went tech), 1x Griffon, 1x Squirrel and 1x RN Lynx (from HMS Endurance)
    Civil types:
    R22, R44, B47, B206, Gazelle, Enstrom, Brantly, MD500/H369, H269 and a Scout that I can remember

    Not that I recall :p but there was plenty of various forms of falling down juice… (The Italians brought 91 litres of red wine 😮 ).

    You are quite right a B36 did land at Enstone. They did apparently fly out as well – the village windows were rattling like nothing on earth when she left by all accounts.

    Well back and now rested from doing the night security looking after the helicopters and I can tell you the pod contains a camera used for hydrographics work down south. They were en-route to Cosford apparently to take part in some tri-service photo thing.
    There was some friendly competition between the German CH-53 crew and the Dutch Chinook crew as to who had the biggest chopper!

    Ray the reason I went for a Miles was the windscreen appears to have the forward cant so typical of Miles aircraft… Not that I’m questioning the log but the letter before the E has a rounded top to it (as in a D) and as I said the screen appears to be a Miles type…
    Could well be lost in the midsts of time. but I do like the challenge.
