IIRC this Whirlwind used to be at Sywell with the Nene Valley Aviation Society along with a HAR.10 version and a Vampire outside…

I will try to remember for Monday.
I was lucky in so much that the first time I visited the collection was open. I have been a couple of times since and it was closed. It was that long ago the Nimrod nose XW666 was there!

I see that the Sea Prince has sunk even further into the ground since I last saw her.
IIRC the Meteor is one of only two ex-RN ones – I could be greatly mistaken…
They all seem to have deteriorated a bit over the years but not as much as I thought that they would have. I’ll dig out my shots at some point so you can compare them.

Going waaaayyyyy back to the post I put up about Airwolf – here’s a screen shot from the show I mentioned – it did get lower! Can’t remember the site but if I find it I’ll add the appropriate credit…

Don’t get me wrong I want to see people punished accordingly but this doesn’t seem to be happening and I don’t hold anytime for people who are dependant on drugs be they illegal or legal (Tobacco and Alcohol) but sadly there is a duty of care responsibility for these oiks. I don’t think that compensation should have been paid or the case even taken that far but sadly in today’s society of do anything wrong etc and be sued then these things will continue to happen. Common sense seems to have been swept aside.
I agree there is no such thing as a victimless crime and what Andrewman has had to suffer is a sad reflection on today’s society (and that punishment of the Id theft person is deplorable).
Is it me or are people treated better in prison these days – Not really punished more pampered?

Joking aside I too believe that it should stay in Canada and be properly looked after as a National treasure.

    Cheers for that Kev.
Very valid and very true. Just annoying that it happened.

There is something about the C-3… I am beginning to really warm to them. I blame Ord-Hume’s book for this interest… I doubt I’d ever get a go in one – too much bulk not enough plane… 😀
