Drove past BB on Saturday and there was the tail of a JetRanger (blue and white)sticking out of the hangar next to the M61. No idea as to which one but it is obviously still used…

No type readily springs to mind but have you considered the possibility that it may not be a German aircraft per say but rather one from an occupied country in German markings?

I’d say Vimy Commercial too. The angle gives the impression of single engine but it is twin. It is hard to see it clearly but a piece of history none the less… thanks for sharing.
Oh the K-xxx series weren’t military they were the first civil registrations in the UK up until 1923 IIRC

The wings were from a Venom. The engine IIRC was under the blue tarp and the rest was in the hangar and awkward to photo so I didn’t as I couldn’t get a decent clear shot adn there was no-one to ask if I could go in an take one.
