Ok a couple from me (more tomorrow but only those already on my PC as I have loads of prints and don’t fancy scanning them all in.)

The first I know doesn’t quite fit but they are tail draggers and I suppose the end of the line of development but the second is pure tail dragging.
Both taken at the VAC’s Vintage & Classic Day 2005 and both from print.

Would you need a “Twin” rating on this one?

The Top Gear aircraft were both AA’s DC-6’s at Dunsfold. They have since returned to Coventry I believe…

I believe the tail dragger in the line is a Vagabond – G-BDVB if my sad memory doesn’t fail me.

Wessex Boy. The homebuilt in the picture with ‘HP taxying out is a Europa if that is of any interest.

They moved in from Keflavik a little while ago ,and they’re USAF MH60 Pave Hawks rather than Army Black Hawks. CH53s departed a long time ago, big choppers (ooh er missus) at Mildy are MH53M Pave Low IIIs and will remain in situ. The MH60 re-location to LN is a little odd with a better special ops infrastructure at Mildy… 🙁

The HH60’s at Lakenheath are primarily roled as SAR but are not used as such yet. They aren’t really special ops machines although are equipped with guns at the moment. Being here rather than down the road was following a detailed assessment and that is why they are here…
