a few friends now know about the current domestics in BSG mansions and some of the things that people have said and done made me smile, a lot, and bring a tear to the eye, but in a good way.

The current Mrs-BSG still yanking my chain, dishwasher belly up over a 4 day week-end as the British Gas Homecare guy couldn’t fix it and “escalated” it to Hotpoint and rumours getting stronger that we are having 20% cuts in staff at work.

    Other than that……

Whichever one makes the right noise. 😀

You get my vote, a Merlin “sigh” to use a classic phrase from a great man, or that (struggles for words).. raw low key power you get from a Sea Fury flypast…..

If it sounds right, thats good enough !

I’ve heard that its under consideration for a re-make, not sure if it needs one (then again “Red Dawn 2010” is in post production….)

Capricorn was on BBC last week late one night, sky plus is a wonderful thng, my son and I sat through the movie over a few evenings, don’t think I’ll do the same for “red dawn” though.

    Capricorn One

late 70’s conspiracy thriller about a fake landing on Mars, and the hunt for the astronauts to kill them as the remote control rocket burns up on re-entry.

Low budget, almost “TV movie” quality but very absorbing and dare I say not beyond the bounds of possibility.

Is this one of those cases where if you buy it a a historic/old aircraft its worth 4K, but if you buy it as scrap (and promise to scrap it) its worth 1k or less?

Hang in there mate, and it will most likely all resolve itself in time.

Thanks Mr Creosote, the package will be good (around 18 months money) plus my mortgage is insured for a year (70% payment anyway) so in theory I can go 2 1/2 years if I don’t spend money on models, airshows etc !

What grips me, is the doom and gloom speak about how bad a position we are in, but the very leadership who took us there are all staying and outlining the plans to recover it, strong rumours are 20% headcount…… 20%.

Add that to the pending domestic “re-arrangement” that the current Mrs BSG-75 wants (one day, but not the next) and I feel like beating the cr@p out of something, somebody etc etc.

still, could be worse, and I’m not being pious but I will leave with money in the bank, and I’m not being paid 20k to walk foot patrol in some god forsaken part of the world at the wim of our leaders.

Given that I have never purchased, owned, restored or been otherwise involved with historic aircraft and therefore have no idea what I’m on about, that does seem a bit steep !? Or am I speaking from where I sit ?
