MSBM
Hi All,
I got my copy at Border right here in Portland Maine it cost me $30 US,its been avaible here in the States for close to 10 Years.
We seem to get alot of the UK stuff over here that isn’t avaible in the UK I’m not sure why.
I can tell you this that alot of stuff that end up on Public Broadcasting Systems(PBS) you can find on Dvd and Video. Maybe thats why its only avaible in North America.

Love the Moth shot
The wonderful thing about these two is they are ALWAYs equally rare or common. You will NEVER have more Mustangs than P-51s. Go on count them. It’s really spooky, eh?
:diablo:
Janie
:p :p 😀 😮 😮 :diablo: 😀 😀
Hi All,
Very interesting discussion guys, now I wouldn’t say Mustangs or P-51 or rare I inclued all models amd Mks as partof the surviver list.
Now something like Mels Rearwin I would call rare becasue there are only a few survivers, but I won’t call a Aeronco C-3 rare becasue their are close to 50 left.
Like wise I would call A-20s rare while the B-25/A-26 are not even close to being rare.
Yes I can agree that some types do not fly but theya re either preserved in Musuems or held in private collections.

Kind of a sad thread if you ask me, so much precious metal just rotting away….and to think when the USS Carl Vinson returns from her current deployment, her F-14’s will join these pictured and be the last F-14’s to have flown with an active Naval squadron…
Fascinating but sad photos….I’d like to visit the place someday.

Mark,
Wow thats just to wierd the last West Coast A-6 Squadron VA-96 Fist of the Fleet was assign to the Carl Vinson now the last West Coast F-14 Squadron.

Bump so some of you who missed it can check it out
Hi Flood,
Great stuff,
To answer your question on the Irain F-14 no most of them went to the fleet, I belive that three where still over near the East part of the Storage Yard near some early 130s. As for the F-16 they have been pulled out and have been assign to Air Guard Units.
Did you get a chance to see any of the P2V and F-101. Aslo do they still give tours of the preservation part.
More pics when you have a chance sir 😀
