As Mike has said, there is a big Differance beteen US shos and UK shos but I know two shos that can not only hold a candle to LegDen but can surpass it.

The first is Geneseo which happens to being going on the same weekend. Where else in the World can you have a Spit, Hurris taxi right next to you with out some bloke yelling hey you out of the Bloody ay. As for aircraft in the air well lets say Geneseo puts up close to 100 aircraft and this includes the Greater Northeast Bi-plane flyin.

The other show is Thunder over Michagon lets face it folks these folks have the corner on them shows this year Eight B-17 Two B-24 and the B-29 no where else will you see this period.

They got your attention though, Crazymainer. 😀

No Grey Area they didn’t get my attention I allready knew about Poverty and World Hunger, I just don’t need some Pop Stars telling me to ask the G8 to help out when they allready are doing the best they can do with todays Political World Problems.

For the record no I didn’t watch any of it but I did hear that alot of folks where very un-happy with MTV/VH1 because they cut from Pink Floyds part.

Kabil I rather working on making my own little part of the world a better place if you don’t mind.

Yawn…ranks right up there along with the “3 airfields full of WWII Luftwaffe aircraft in Libya”…

ZRX61 I hate to differe with you on this subject but there are more then three German Airfields that still hjave alot of aircraft still on them. remember that only areas near the major citys where clean up by the scrappers.

Probably 2 airplanes was study at Research Flying institute at war time – both of them was from Poltava airfields or anyone airfields around. Some time i see photos captured P-38 in Poland or Hungary or etc. Never hear that any P-38 was in servise at VVS – only rumors or wrong informations. Some photos available at the book on Russian – author Kotelnikov Vladimir – “Americans at Russia” – subname “Americans airplanes at Russia”

    Hi Oleg,

Do you know if this book is aviable in the West I would be interested in purchasing it.

    Hi Ant,

The only referance I have of P-38 in Russian a few that came from Alaska.

The only countrys beside the US to fly them where the Free French, Portuguese,Australian and China. The Brits had a few but they came with out the turbos on them.

I’ll cross check my Lend Lease records to see if anything matchs up but I don’t recall Lockheed getting a contract for P-38s from the USSR.

Kermit owns a La9 I’ve seen it up and close.
