Hairy
As we said – what happens on tour stays on tour- in any case now I am retireing I have been asked to drive for the FORD World Rally Team and I was getting in some practice was all.
Anyway to move on next we went to Tyabb near melbourne to look at Judy Pays collection and we only got a little bit lost – Just a smidge really and eventually we got there – a lot of nice aircraft including the worlds only Merlin Powered P40F, a CAC Mustang , Harvards,T28 etc

Hi Mike et al
Don’t know anything yet all of this has literally just happened – and it won’t happen quickly ….. but Kansas city was mentioned (Thats where her boss is based) . Don’t know if you mean Steve being far from me or me far from Steve but I’m sure we can have a bit of fun with all the US forumites and Steve is a pretty good guy so I guess we will be able to put up with each other!!!.

No I think the Aston stays here as I do intend to come home and it’s right hand drive and US is left – but really I am just getting used to the idea of ME going – Cat also has expressed doubts but I told her salmon is easier to get there and basket is being packed as we speak….

Hi Melve
I will be thinking of you on the day mate – all the best you deserve it.
By the way slagging me and JDK off is OK cause we got the Pommie slagging over with while the test pilot was here.
PS Tell Steve that I just heard his favourite P40 is about to get a repaint – I think in the same colors but I’ll find out.

Hi Turbo NZ
I took your post seriously and watched Blackhawk down again – quite right – no woosy stuff here just good wholesom violence – Great.
I love the smell of Napalm in the morning – now those were the days.
Kindest regards

Hi
I don’t think getting an F14 is all that hardsas it’s been done here in Aus before – the issue will be getting it there – you won’t most likely get an airworthy one and then you will have to work out transport – not cheap.
Anyway I think the upshot is there are plenty available and I would have thought FAAM was a likely taker for one.

and some more Moorabin…………………..
Hi Steve
Nice to see you survived the China syndrome and caught up with Gus – Have a great time in the UK.
Back to the tour. Next destination was the Moorabin Air Museum and I “helped navigate” We had a team effort and managed to circle Moorabin for nearly an hour studiously avoiding finding the Museum but eventually we had to face up to the inevatable and arrived at Moorabing – A real gem with some very rare aircraft including a complete Beaufighter , Firefly etc
Here Dear listener are a couple of pages of photos – and the staff were very helpful and pleasant as were the Point Cook Staff once we got in there,
