I think you will find that it was at Fairford in 1987 that 15 RAF Hercules flew past in formation and not Mildenhall.

Having worked on Victors I have to pick the Victor. I was always confident that if necessary it would get to the target/launch point. It could take off on three engines fully laden – bit of a struggle.
Mind you having had to jack them three feet in the air to fit Blue Steel on numerous occasions I almost said Vulcan.
Managed to get a flight in XM717 before I left and my recollection is playing Bridge with the rear crew members at umpteen thousand feet.

If you are using Norton Firewall that is probably the reason.

Papa Lima,
Try using a different antivirus software such as AVG, which is free. Mcafee is also not recommended. For a firewall try Sygate Personal Firewall, which is also free.

I too have this problem, which started before this particular thread was posted. It only seems to be with new pics asI can still see all the earlier ones. I had a similar problem viewing ABpics and was advised it may be because I use Norton Antivirus/Firewall!

Here is a picture of the HD-34 F-BHOO at Fairford on 18 July 1987.
There were other HD aircraft. The first was the HD-10, then came the HD-31, then the HD-32 of which two were built. One was later re-engined and renamed HD-321. Finally the HD-34 of which eight were built.
