The engine is an early Bristol Pegasus , pic. setting looks different to airframe ones

Osprey has an inline Kestrel so engine doesn’t go with airframe, except …….for the Swedish Osprey’s which had the radial Pegasus,
now see this thread on Swedish Osprey SE-OYR remains with the Swedish A.F. Museum

I have been sifting through a few more photos and slides for the dispersal of Robert Rudhall’s collection on ebay and came across these.

I do not know what the aircraft is………………

Martin B57 Canberras, in the northern part of Masroor Airfield, W of Karachi…
(guess who posted the placemark on keyholebbs… :diablo: )

Canberra’s yes but I didn’t know of the B-57 variety, what are the single engined planes just a couple of hardstandings E of my pic ? ( I don’t know), also did you find the F-86 there.
P.S. I found the base just by looking in hi res areas not by any placemark, would that be in one of the layers ? I was ‘in the area’ looking at Poona/Pune, couldnt find any B-24’s their 😉

I was just going to point that out myself 😀

You historic guys (forgot you lived here too 😀 ) should get a royal charge out of this:

    52 20′ 11.00″ N 000 11′ 43.25″ W

Now tell me that’s not really damn cool 😎

Well I plotted that & thought Oh.. hes taken me to Duxford (it was in USA at start) & then it stopped & I thought a housing estate ! TYPO.
So I zoomed in just in case & WTF 😮 how did anybody find that, yep that’s a good one ,thanks Sean

without bothering to type in the coordinates, are these the North Korean An-2s mentioned over on the modern military forum?

Not frequenting the military forum I wouldn’t know, but at a guess yes except these would be Chinese built versions of the An-2 which would be ?????
P.S. I counted 34 on the airfield + 2 in the air nearby

Found these on the net, about 5 years ago. All kinds of mouthwatering Luftwaffe aircraft, dumped….

    If only, somebody……

    Tillerman.

Ummmm………… 2nd from left looks like a pit full of A/C & scrap, they wouldn’t have put them in there if they were not going bury them ,
    would they ?????

    Hi All,

Does anyone have any history on the above airfield? Only found out today there is/was an airfield at this location.

Opened ’40, closed ’45, as others have said it was a Harwell OTU satellite

I thought it was actually spelt Hampstead Norris.

That’s correct, but oddly the village is Hampstead Norrys

Isn’t it amazing how many people who love the Chipmunk first flew in them as cadets?

Yep, another one here, but how many had one of there flights end up like this. 😀
WZ873, last heard of in Florida IIRC

the phantoms shot is that at the BAE site out in the staes where they convert them to drones?

I don’t know if they convert them their, they just make there last flights from their 🙁
Use the Lat & Lon. 30 02 18.22 N 85 31 42.83 W in the bottom left of the pics. & put it in the search box & it should take you to Tyndell ( the actual Lat/Lon in the pic takes you nearby ? I have corrected the above)
