isn’t there anyone out there that wants to work on vintage aircraft?

Yes I do, but Blackbush or White Waltham would be more convenient though 🙂

One item that came out of this buried cache was a Spitfire undercarriage door.

Now about those boxed/crated Merlins/Lancasters/Spitfires at ………..(insert any airfield you want)……….

Merlins (complete, dont know about crates though ! ) & Mossi parts under buildings or taxiways/aprons at Glasgow Airport- ex Abbottsinch ( HMS Sanderling )

Firebrand & Seahornet ex fire training remains buried on site at ……….

At Walnut Ridge in the USA (biggest WWII disposal site ?), small parts are still poking out of the ground according to a recent environmental report

Barracuda parts at an ex airfield in Scotland, now a site of special scientific interest, so no access (pics here a few months ago)

I’ve got to get off to work now, so will check back later, thanks for your efforts so far

It’s definitely St.Mawgan, the ‘odd’ layout in the top left of pic. gives it away

“Quality is so-so but they might interest somebody.”
Have you ever posted a pic that didn’t interest somebody Mark ? thanks for posting.

Ah the Sabre-Fury, all that power, surely the ultimate piston fighter if it had gone into production ?

    Being a ‘hotrodder/dragracer’ (cars) , I fully appreciate the ‘hotrodded’ Fury’s , R-4360 + Fury Ummm !! ‘Critical Mass’ being my favourite ( even though it’s only got a R-3350).

6 Fury racers in the link below, info on some probably a little out of date now
