It is sad to think the elder of the two is still with us, and the younger isn’t. RIP Mark Hanna.

I would think Geoff is happy to be alive but I know what you are trying to say.

Hi Sam, are you going to post some of Martinas Chipmunk shots or have you taken some of your own? Whichever way it is looking really good.

The Fiat is based at Booker, with PPS (not owned by them though)

Had a look around her last November when I was shown round the hanger by a certain fellow who frequents this forum – thanks again chap 😀

    Very nice kite BTW

has it moved from Sandown? It was last owned by Mr Steele who also owns the airport.

    Fowlmere

Quite scary really… to imagine building something just about the same size and complexity as Duxford, using it for five years or so and then completely flattening it. This actually happened at Fowlmere 🙁

    Welcome Chamas,

I hear there should be a very authentic Chipmunk re-paint coming out of your shop in the near future 🙂

Apparently, this is what led to the sudden ban by NATS of any ‘non-standard’ flight clearances over Central London by SE aircraft….. 😡

So no banner towing over central London then ‘Ewan’?

OK Ewan, Mike J and DBW, why don’t you have a bet on it?
Meet up in London and if any single piston fighters show up Ewan buys everyone drinks 🙂

There will be single engine types, ie: BBMF (military services) Spitfire(s) and Hurricanes(s). The question really concerns the liklihood of dispensation being granted for civil registered and operated single engine warbirds to join the flypast.

So – OK for BBMF Spitfires and Hurricanes to fly over London (and other military single engine types), but will we see any civilian operated single engine warbirds in this flypast?

I think you may be refering to the VE day flypast. This is on Sunday 10th June. Does anyone know if participants from Legends will be taking part (and also if the flpast may come over Duxford as its the same day!). 🙂

The correct date is Sunday July 10th. Also it is not a VE day event – it is to commemorate the end of the Second World War and a date (as a stated in my firstpost) was selected that was between VE and VJ Days
