Let me check my info. on Loring AFB but I think this was one of Loring Aircraft.

I recall that one of the first 36 they sent over the pond had to be sent back to the factory to be rebuild due to a nasty landing in the UK

    Did it?

When exactly did Maine leave the Union? I understood you were still dictated to by a Federal administration based in Washington.

    Moggy,

I was referering to the American Revolution, which by chance started 331 years ago this week. 😀

    Ok Folks,

So let me get this correct this is something that the EU is pushing down the UK throats. May I ask a rather dumb question what in the Hell we’re you all drinking when you decide to join this crack-induced organization. Did the Main Land introduce some sort of chemical to the drinking water in the UK. 😮

My god I think its time you take a chapter from are history and start a small little Revolution it work for us :diablo:

    Hi All,

Since I know the director for Spartan I will contact him over the weekend and see if they have any pics in their inventory.

But it still doesn’t help with my mystery so Mk12 I guess we are back to square one again 🙁

I fear you don’t quite understand how the EU plutocracy functions 😮

Even using the words ‘The EU would have no choice’ is likely to guarantee the opposite result.

But that apart, why do you think that a charity would be allowed to operate an aircraft with inferior public liability cover compared to a private operator?

    Moggy

    Moggy,

Correct me if I’m wrong here but this an European Reg. law right so if you change the reg. to a US have the plane as a US Historical Foundation then presto know more European Insurance problems.

Besides make them Living UNESCO Historical Items removes alot of normal barriers, and the best part is the EU gets it stuck to them 😀

I say to hell with all religions what have they brought man-kind death and suffering, I think the Commies had the right idea turn the churchs into museum to remind us all how much Religion thru out time has cause pain and death to Man-Kind,

All we have to do is look at the Midlle East, Northern Ireland, Africa I can go on but any one want to burn or blow up a church has my blessing. Before you all start on me I got kick out of the all mighty Catholic Church because I question how the bible could be correct when all other know civiliztions had no writings of the so-called historical facts of the Old Testement.

If I’m not mistaken the CAA have been very strict lately towards letting foreign registred historics display in the UK. All of TFCs fighters have migrated to G plates! And if you can’t have them displaying, they won’t earn their keep!

    T J

    TJ,

It would matter because I would put a US N# on it and operated like the CAF
stuff when they came over besides as a international historicl foundation with both US and UNSECO permits the EU has no choice since all EU memebers are signee of UNESCO funny how that works now 😮

Like I said there is more then one way to skin a cat 😀

Forgive me, but the aircraft in the background look like Beech 18’s??

    PDS,

The aircraft to the far left is a B-25, the next 2 aircraft are AT-11s.

    Ok Folks,

Before you all say I’m daff here, try this one. Both Sally-B and Pink Lady could be sold to a Yank lets say for 1 uSA Dollar then that Yank could set up a Foundation around said aircraft register it with US Gov. as a Charity operating in a over-sea country.

Guess what the EU nore the CAA can do anything about it because it all under internation laws covering Chartiable groups. Think I’m crazy how do you think Green Peace operated their Cat all over the world with a US N-#, also thier are plenty of non-aviation foundations that operated in over-sea countrys.

Hell I would buy both aorcraft and form the foundations right here in Maine today if it helps keep both aircraft in Europe

    Think about it folks.

    RER,

Well locating this airfield would be start.

In this side on profile view there is clearer detail of the local geography.

    Does this help?

With serial and the RN missing together with non folding wings anyone could be forgiven for thinking this was a Spitfire rather than a Seafire.

    Hi Mark,

Oh that helps, the photo is of Tulsa the tower is a dead give away. By looking at the aircraft in the background I’m guessing the B-25 is one of the three that Spartan had.

Could you please post some more of the photos, also I have a contact who is friends with the schools director maybe they have soime photos in their collection.

If it is the Brunswick aircraft then how did it get to Tulsa.

    Hi Mk12,

So what do you think, could this have been the mystery spit at Brunswick and that all RN marking where removed.

I’m starting to think that this is the plane because of how the coundition of the airframe was describe. Do you know if this Spit was in combat and recieved any damage because in one of the letters the guy states that while they were working on the right wing they found combat repair patchs.

    Ok Folks,

Try this one on for size have all Warbirds doesn’t matter era declared Living UNESCO Historical Items . Their that settles the problem the EU can’t touch them they fall under UN protection which means they get to keep flying. By putting the Historical Lable on them this means only the effect countrys CAA can rule on how and when they can fly.

If they don’t want to go that way then my I suggest you start taking out TV/Newspaper/Mag ads get the general public behind the call, and if I was an English Person I would be rethinking the whole EU thing about now.
