    Hi All,

Don’t think the P-38 is going to be going anywhere soon if the CAF doesn’t change their veiws on the Twin Mustang they are going to lose more then the Twin Mustang.

The Twin Mustang is on a Counditional Loan from the US Air Force along with there B-29 and three other aircraft.

    Hi Skycruiser,

First since I was the bloke who brought up the whole spin training that has lead to these post, I want to restate my position that FOR ME spin training and Aerobatic training made me a better pilot. I come from a Military family both my Dad and Uncle are Retired US Naval Aviators so I was taught by both of them to fly they also trained along my sister and three Cousins we all went thru the basic PPL coarse here in the States but it was my Dad who insist that if I’m going to Fly my Moth that I was going to be taught how to FLY IT that meant I was put into are Stearman and my Uncle’s Decath. and taught both Spin Training and Aerobatics using the US Navy Training course. I will state this right out in the open I was deathly afraid to even to try a spin but with the proper coaching and understanding from my instructor(yes they where family) I improved my flying and gane expeirance and confidance in the air that I didn’t have.

I think that anyone who is going thru PPL training should be given some sort of Spin training this is my belief. Today I love flying Aerobatics and also Close formation to me is one of the joys of flight I enjoy, its not everyones cup of Tea either is flying Airliners I have the ulmost respect for you guys and me calling you or any of you Bus Drivers is meant in Fun and I’m not trying to insult you or your Proffession. Like wise I’ve been called a raving idiot because I like to spin an aircraft or worse yet push an aircraft to its out limits. To me its my style of flying. Hey we all enjoy this thing called flying and how one choose to enjoy it is up to each person you enjoy being a Airline pilot while I enjoy be a Warbird Pilot/Aerobatic pilot.I never want to be a Airline pilot want to fly Warbirds all my life and I’m lucky that I’ve had the chance to do something I enjoy.

Sorry for the length of the post folks but I just want to get this out their.

Now I notice Young Mr. Weaver put up a responce so Mr. Weaver why haven’t you answer the questions that have been posed to you?

Happy flying to all and may you have a safe and happy flight

    Cheers

    Wow All,

Boy has this thread Morf first it was about Young Mr. Weaver, then off to spin training which lead to two other threads then now what is a better Aerobatic team well I guess I can chim in on this since I’ve seen almost every team out their.

    Here is Crazymainers list,

1 Best fourmation The Snowbirds anyone every see them will understand putting 9 aircraft together and flying there routine is very hard.

2 Best bang for your buck The Blue Angels they are what everyone wants to be. No one can fly a fourmation like the Diamond and lets face it folks the #5 Dirty roll take Off is incrediable.

3 Best Visual I would have to say its a Tie between the Red Arrows and Frecca they use smoke very effectivly and always try to put on a visually good show.

4 Best Prop team again a tie between the Chillian Smoke Squadron and the now defunk Northern Lights if you have ever seen either team then you will understand.

5 Best old school well thats the one and only Red Barons Squadron nothing like the sound of four Stearmans in fourmation.

6 Best use of Music well I’m going to have to say The Thunderbirds why because I’m a homer and they are USAF.

7 Best Eastern European Team has to go to the Polish guys whe I saw them all I could say was wow flying those Irska the way they did was fun to watch.

8 Best Asian team no contest The Blue Impusles if you’ve seen them you no why

9 Best North American team well thats a no brainer The Blue Angels the first Offical team formed by any country.

10 The Best all around World Aerobatic Pilot no contest the one and only Sean D. Tucker he does things that even the Demo teams stop and go Wow at.

Well thats my list i’m sure soem will agree and disagree with it but hey that a free world.

    Cheers

you can’T really call the FAA C.P.L papers exams, more like 15-16year old general knowledge.

    Young Mr. Weaver,

With statement like that I would fail you in a Heart Beat, here in the States its the oral that is the most important test. remember the exaimer can ask you anything with-in you training. Ie what is the stall speed and how do you recover from a left to right hand wing stall.

Or in my case how much trim do you need for your B-25 yes these are questions that I was ask.

    Hi All,

I quess I’m the one at fault for pointing out Spin training,Let me state that I don’t think Bus Divers are arrogant as a matter of fact one of my flying buddys is a Bus Driver and he has taught me a few tricks that he pick up flying in and out of a few of the airports that I visit.

So as Galdi has said lets give it a rest for the sack of friendships 😀

Now my question is where is Young Mr.Weaver all this time FC start this thread asking if he was real well like I said in the beginning 7 plus pages back 😮 I don’t know all of Young Mr. Weavers antics but it seems Mr. Weaver you have been ask a few question that you seem to be advoiding is there a reason or as FC has siad someones sick joke :p

So come on Son speak up like you have a set :diablo:

    Ok WD,

    Lets Compair Cockpit then,

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v285/fortress17g/File0363.jpg

As you can see I really don’t have alot of those Fancy new toys you have like Glass Tubes and a radio and a transponder. Heck I don’t even have a starter button.

But what I do have and we all can see is that real big Compass, Altimeter, Oil and Fuel gauge.

Now your fancy new cockpit screen wow thats cool :diablo:

    Ok My turn,

    WD and Martin,

You both seem to forget on thing you guys are flying basically over size sims your whole flight deck is on big flight Sim. While most GA aircraft still have 60 tech. in it.

Now yes you both fly allot more in one week then most GA Pilots but I’m geussing my personal flight experiance would’nt come close to your since I’ve only flown Warbirds and Vintage stuff. But I will say this most GA pilots i’ve found are better Navigators then you Airline guys why because we still have to do allot of Dead Reckon and flying the Compass, you have that nice big GPS that tells you when to turn and why we are on that hell you have Rubert who does most of your flying for you.
