Flood, Ashley,
May I suggest you e-mail Scott over at Wixs or stop by and look how we do it over their we do have a few people who are in the Busniess of searching for parts and post stuff for sale.
I know one of the person rather well and He said that his post has generated more interest in his items then any other things.
As he told me he isn’t looking to get rich would like to make a little back but rahter have the items go to someone who needs them for their projects.
I know that Scott has certain rule and we all seem to be live by them.
Cheers

Hi All,
If you have some stuff you would like to unload as it might be said then may I suggest you pop over to Wix and post it on their For Sale forum.

I for one would love have seen the Watch, also I really don’t understand if I say have a Control Surface for a Tiger moth that I would like to make avaible for sale why can’t I put up a post isn’t it all of are goal to have Historic Aircraft presevered and if someone has a part then I say let them put it on this Board.
Just my thoughts

We need to take you to a good old fashion Punk Show, I know maybe the Boys can take you to see Gang of Four they just reunited or maybe The Damn,Sham69,DOA tour know that would be great.
I could see you now in the mosh pit :diablo:
Flood,
Yea I like Guns of Brixton also but I guess my all time fav. Clash song would have to be Armagidion Time into Pressure Drop into Gates of The West. This can be found on a Bootleg copy of the 5 night at Bonds in NYC.

Thanks for that. Last I heard AEOF’s engine was in bits waiting for almost non-existant spares.
There are two Skyrangers in the country and I would love to get all four UK Rearwins together.

Hi Mev,
What parts is the person missing? The reason I ask is the NEAM aircraft has a complete engine that is low time. Maybe with my connection at the museum we could arrange a trade. What do you think.
E-mail me at b25j@maine.rr.com if you think it might be something that could be arranged.
Cheers

Hi All,
Well I’m not sure how the UNSECO Laws work in the UK, may I suggest you guys have the local Historical trust to show you all the items.
If I can I will do what ever I can do to help you. If you like I can draft a letter and send it to the above people stating that NW could fall under UNESCO WWII Laws.

Chad, the Bearcat crashed at Oshkosh in 1993, I took this photo at Chino in May 1994.
Does anyone know how badly the Bearcat was damaged.
Septic.
Hi Septic,
When Elmer had the engine failure at Osh. he put it down straight off the runway it hit rather hard.
The engine was smash up breaking the lower engine mont brackets and the bellie receive alot damage, one of the wing tips was fold up but I don’t recall which one. Plus their was signs of internial Fusl. damage the rear fusl. had signs on skin buckling.
I think when you took the shot Elmer had done some structal stuff to get her back together. Elmer had a good section of left over Bearcat parts so it was a easy rebuild. But what I’ve been told it wasn’t a complete rebuild .

Unfortunatly the likes of a certain Mr Prescott and a certain Epping Council are not interested in any historical importance 😡
SE5AFAN,
Correct me if I’m wrong but you don’t have to have their support if you instigate an UNSECO claim.

Hello Sir,
Question how Hisroric is North Weald, I mean can it be consider under UNSECO WWII protected site rules.
If so then I would look into it. Even if you can’t I would make a big stink that you are looking into being declared an UNSECO site this might just be enought to make them back off.
Good Luck and you have a Yanks support

Hey Fluffy,
With all do respect when I talk to the dept. Director she said No they won’t even allow the Lanc. to go to Geneseo which is 45 Minutes away. I’m not sure what these engineers are telling you but when the Dept. Director tells me No then I’m going to beleive her.

Sorry, I don’t have a photo to add here, but that Lodestar (N6371C) that crashed after the big CAF airshow at Midland, Texas in October 2004 looked really odd.
Is it just me, or had the nose been extended? If so, was this a military modification or was it carried out by an airline or something? I notice large windows had been added into the fuselage too which I’m sure won’t be military mods.
The colour scheme it wore was also very odd. It was mostly bare metal and wore D-Day stripes (which I assume were added just for the D-Day themed airshow). But it had an RAF camouflage tail with RAF finflshes and yet a Stars and Bars roundel. Was it undergoing a paint scheme change at the time?
Was this the Lodestar the CAF used to have painted up like an RAF Hudson?
Hi Dave,
It was a Howard Converssion with the extend nose, the plane at one time was painted in RAF Desert Camo.

Ok Now,
Lets just kill this now before it runs away again, when I talk to the Dept. Director of the CWH she told me flat out that the Lanc. wil not be going to England period.
If the rest of you would like to confirm this here is the Telp. # 1-905-679-4183 ask for Pam.

This statement is not correct! From what I’ve heard, the TBM, P-38, P-47, B-25, PBY and C-47/DC-3 have all flown within the past five years. (and maybe the P-51).
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
I was give this information by two rather connected warbird guys, both who I have talk to in the past month and we talk about the whole P-38 Mess.
I ask if Jack still fly his stuff and I was told that they haven’t flown for nearly two years but they do run some of the engines.
The Corsair hasn’t flown for close to three years.
