If you go over to Wix and send Rob Mears a pm I think he has a complete set of Blue Prints if not then try the Chance Vought Group that are doing the Corsair resteration. I know there is a thread over on Wix about them.

Totally Shocked

Wow, I still in shock when I heard of the news it hit me like a ton of bricks, while Steve and I never had the chance to meet we cared on a great exchange via e-mails and phone calls.

I have two storys of Steve I would like to share with everyone,

The first one was on my B-Day Steve went out of the way to send me a personal B-Day e-mail this was very touching for a person who I had only exchange e-mails with.

The Second was when I was in the Hospital with my Heart stuff he sent me a very nice get well card it was very nice and that one item turned into a very special releationship.

Steve passion for are Veterans was second to none anyone who spent time be it in person or via the telphone in my case understood this all to well.

Steve you will be missed and knowing you has brought some joy into my and all the others on this Forums lives.

Good Speed and say hello to all those Vets you so dearly cared for.

Well lets see what I can come up with.

The plane was delieved to Air France in July of 1979 flew the European Domastic route till being converted to a freighter where she did all sort of interesting stuff for certain type of Air Cargo Company the sold to AAI.

So My guess Blue Robin is she has 750,000 hours with three main Spar Wings changes and close to a million Landing Cycles.

Sad news glad that the pilot is ok, as for the report of it being destroyed Ha you called that destroyed main when I read this I thought we where talking a roll over or something all this look o be is a very bad ground loop of some sort. Get it on a jig and it should be an easy rebuild.

Soemtine these news folks over drama stuff like this. Yea its a very bad set back but if I recall Black 6 was in far worse condtion. Beside we all know of alot of Mustangs and Spitfire that where alot more heavly damage then this that where rebuild.
