    Hey Guys,

Hows this for a thought, insteading slamming the program we all should be looking at the positive this program will bring to the greater warbird movement if this show can entice one child to ask there parents to take them to an Airshow or better yet get them involved. Then this has done the job.

Over on the wix board their is a thread about the furture of the Warbird Movement. Well folks shows like this enlighten the childs mind.

    Hi All,

Sound like it was a great dig, just wondering if Channel 5 is going to make this aviable on Tape, if not would anyone mind making a copy for a Crazy Yank. I would love to watch this program.

Any chance this might make it on to History Un-cover.

    Thanks in advance 😀

    Hey Guys,

All I have to say is Chino Airport, two years ago when they un-earth alot of parts when they were doing the Runway work. Also off the end of Pax River there are the remains of the German aircraft that were brought over here for the Navy to play with.

Also I know that atleast four former military airports have remains on them.

My I suggest that you also contact the USAF research’s at Maxwell AFB to get the USAAF side. Also you might want to go over to Warbird Resource Groups forume page and put up your request they have a lot of USAAF Vets and alot of us Yanks.

    Great Project, Good luck.

    Cheers

    Hi All,

Since I live here in the StatesI can’t comment on the on-going flap over this but I would like to point out that on Monday its Memorial Dat here in the States.

This year will be there special for alot of WWII Vets. the National WWII Memorial will be offically open and the Parks Dept. has invitied all WWII Vets to the opening. Also in the Evening there is a Concert on the Green that is free to ALL VETS. this goes out live on are Public Broadcasting Stations and alot of other Stations pick this up.

Also we have alot of Parades thro-out the Country, I know my home-town as one of the largest in Maine. We are going to have a Four Ship P-3 Orion fly-over doing a Missing Man also what I understand there are going to be some RN/FAA Vets in the Parade this Year. Brunswick was a F4U/TBM training base for the RN/FAA during the WWII.

    Firerbird,

Its the CAF bird it was comming home from the Red Star Gathering the pilot most likly was Dave Mosre. Since it doesn’t have good legs its cart around the States alot.

I think the Main sponser is Bob Reise the same person who sponcers the CAF FM-2 done up in FAA/RN markings.

    Hope this helps. 😀

    Hey Guys,

Thanks, for all the info. Now for a follow up to watching Zulu it stated that in all of the British Military Service that the VC was awarded to 11 member at Rork Mission.

My question is has the VC ever been awarded to a Non-CommanWealth Service person?

    Thanks Again 🙂
