    Septic,

The Video is for “Reap the Wild Wind” circ. 1983, Te *6 show would have been the Final Cut shows after these rapped up here in the States Roger left the band and then he and David fought for 5 or 6 years over ownership of the name.

    CY,

Yes that was one of many reasons that they decide to put up the wall, it also was a great build up to the end of the show.

    Janie,

The break wa about half way throu the show basically the first set going into the second the reason for the 20min. break was to set up Davids plateform for “Comfortably Numb” and to get all the effects for the Trail seq. in place. Also it was done for effect to get the crowd more into the show. If I remember right they played over the PA system some rather interesting BBC New Bites and every couple of Minutes the Annoncer would come on saying the Band is about to go on just at the last monument the band goes into the beginning of “Money” then breaks back to “Hey You”
Like I said before they change what a Rock show should be like, First The Who with Tommy then PF with the Wall.

Because Melvyn you have the other reported airworthy one, The sign states these were build after the War but I’m not going to split-hares with someone who owns one.

As for the engine what type does your’s have in it. Oh by the way go ahead and tell everyone what it is.

I got to take a peek inside it looks like it is a nice ride.

Great News about both planes from the Great Republic of Maine. I knew Kermit wanted the 1649 and the Gonney when he wants something he usually gets it.

How bad was the 1649, the last time I saw her she was still blowing oil out of the #3 and #1 and the main bus system was still on the frig.

I hope Kermit does buy her so we can start working on the other two 1649 up here in the Great White North. As for the Gonney a broke engine that sound like her everytime she goes somewhere she ends up crapping out an engine.

    CY,

Yes they were going for effect, Roger was tired of the whole Turing thing and decide to build an artifia. barrer between the crowd and the band with band memebers appearing at varoius parts of the Wall during the show.

It also repesents the Wall that is between the Varoius generations. CY I think I have pics of the Show some place I’ll see if I can dig them up this weekend. On a side note I’m a Rock Photogapher and this one show change how alot of Bands looked at their Live shows.

    Well Lads,

I guess you have to leave it up to a Bloody Yank, in the US live show, they used what appear to me be a 3/4 scale Spit hung above the stage. Also during “Tigers Crash Thro” (song not on Album only the Movie) a pair of Stukas are show.

During “Goodby Blue Skys” their is an image of a Spit off in the distance, also in “Is there anybody out there?”on the screen of the Tele is parts of “One of are Planes are Missing” and finally in the “run like Hell/Waiting for the Worms/Stop/The Trial” partof the show the last part before the wall is blown down their are alot of images from the BoB doc.

Hope this helps guys, I must say seeing The Wall change my perspective on what a Live Show can be.

    Ah,

That were it end up. This is the ex-Folsom flying service DC-3 on floots us from North New England remember seeing this dropping in us at atol of Lakes.

Max Folsum found three sets of floots back in the early 80s restored them and put them on this DC which is actually one of the Glidders a DC with out the engines.

I remember the first time I saw her at an Air Show it was one of the Manchester NH show she arrived early Sat. morning coming out of the fog.

I tell you what shes a big one and what a Bitch to park. Most of her time up here in Maine she sat between the Folsum Hangers with a right blown engine but when she flew it was quite a site. I’ll dig thru my photos and see if I can find a pic or two of her in the air.
