Go to photobucket.com when you get their they have a rather quick and easy set up it took me about 10 minutes to do my set up.

The nice thing about photobucket is you can either link ind. photos or a whole thread.

Hi All,

The days of seeing a f-14 at any Airshow US or Europe are over as of last year this Year saw the Decon of the last Carrier Based F-14D Squadrons and VF-101 the 14 Rag Squadron are in the process of converting to F-18C/D.

Their will still F-14 in Naval Reserves Squadrons but the exact num,ber is still being work out.

If I was going to RIAT this year I would like to see something like the 95 show witht he massive fly by for the 50Anv. of end of WWII. This being the 60th Anv. and in reality the last time that we will have a large section of WWII Vets. I think they should go all out.

She was used in a number of films including 1000 Plane Raid and also in Catch-22 this very interesting photo I wonder when in the 70s this was taken.
The reason I ask is I remember seeing a article in an old Air Classic that shows all the 25 from Catch-22 including this plane and they all still had their Movie paint on.

I say a photo and I’m not sure where showing her with the Catch-22 paint some time in the mid-70s.

Maybe Aerovin can helps out on this one.

Hi Mark,

My Brother-N-Law was assign to the JFK on its last Cruise and they just spent close to 20 Million on updates so I really don’t see them DeCon her anytime soon.

If anything she would be come the Fleet Training Carrier. Also when she is retired she is already slate to go to Fall Rivers next to the USS Mass.

I Don’t get it,why don’t you want to save this so its going to cost some $$$ but hey its another aircraft saved or does only WWII Aircraft deem your value or money come on Damien.

Really Folks I guess we have different views over here on this side of the pond when we hear of something that should be saved we try to at least save it.

Damien you are over on Wix board how many items have you seen where hey can we save this Jet, I can think off the top of my head at least five aircraft that we on Wixs have tried or trying to save. So I guess thats the real difference between the boards then We walk the Walk and you guys don’t sorry for the way it came out folks but thats how I see it.

And before any of you decide to question what have I’ve help save may I suggest you go over to the Wixs board and send Wendovertom a pm and ask him what we are working on or better yet just read the Penesacola Needs are help thread which I post on both boards it seems you English folks really don’t care about Post WWII items rather have them cut up no need to save them its just a comman Lighting well folks in a few years with that mentality it won’t be just a comman aircraft because they will all have been scraped.

I can’t beleive what I’m reading here christ their has to be some way to save this aircraft, what the Hell is wrong with all of us.

What you guys in England can’t find some deserving museum that could use this, I find that hard to beleive.

Question has anyone ask the people who own it if their was a musuem that could take it would they throw transportation in for a tax right off.

Before you all jump down my thought think about this how many time do we see stuff like this come up and we all b1tch and moan on how did we let this happen. Well he is a chance for you guys in England to step up and try to save this plane.

So its not a rare aircraft since when does that dictate that it doesn’t need to be saved, come on folks lets do something to at least say we did something instead of sitting back and Crying because it was torch.
