No Rob. Think of how welcoming this very forum is (petty squabbling aside) and your question is answered. D
Oh Great and Wise Gnome, 😀
I agree that here and other Forums we do welcome all comers I was wounder more at the Hanger or Airshow.
I’ve been to many show where I’ve over heard people who are interested in are Communtiy say well I guess they don’t need us because they sure didn’t give me/us the time of day.
Like I said in the beginning I always made time for anyone to me showing off my pride and joy was part of the fun. I don’t know how other owners feel about it.

Hi All,
On the subject of CTBT, both India and Pakastain are going to have know choice soon or later they will have to sign it or they will not get new Arms from Either US(via the UK) or from the Russians.
The US is putting pressure on the Russians to make sure that any Country they sell to that have Nukes be part of the CTBT or they could risk loosing funds from the US.
Now back tot he topic of the thread I think India is looking to upgrade their Transport and the 130J is one of the best out their and getting parts are going to be easy.
Remember Lockheed is looking to build a Civilain Version of this model so there will be parts out their that way also.
And for the record Russia also has in the pat put restrictions on their Arms Sell also, they do this to leep the Money that is come from America to them flowing.
Please keep this civil no Flamewars 🙂

Just a FYI the plane doesn’t exist any more was involved in a fatal Accident and was destroyed by fire in 2002.

In the present climate for operating warbirds, this discussion is all pretty academic anyhow. The CAA could turn around tomorrow and allow passenger flights in return for a ‘donation’, and still nothing would change.
Why not?
Simple.
Insurance.
Mike I agree with that the real Killer of the Warbird Scene is Sky Rocket Insurance Rate both here in the States and their in Europe.
But I’m sure their could be some sort of policy written if the CAA ever did allow Passengers(Wishfull thinking now)

One of the Laarbruch machines was vis-modded to look like a MiG-21. That one really looked odd.
Hey Arthur,
Any photos of this out their must really look odd.

DGH,
How many of the above list are saved either as complet airframes or cockpit sections.

Hi Arthur,
It will be interesting to see what happens I know that the Coast Guard have been screaming to get new Herk and their has been talk in building a Fire Bomber Version for the USAF to operate.
I think this is far from over since the two Lockheed Plants employ alot of folks. As for the other Reserve Squadrons I think one or maybe two have start getting J model last year we had a Reserve J model stop at NAS Brunswick earlier this year and it wasn’t Penn Bird. As for the Air Guard well thats going to be dicey since their has been rumbling that the RI should have never got the Js before Active Squadrons got new Herks.
Somewhere I have some pics of the #4 Protype at NAS Brunswick doing Cold Weather Training interesting see a N# and crew in Orange Fligth Suits. I think this was the UK Evo Plane.

Flanker Man,
Yea that was the year I remember my dad telling me that the USAF wasn’t to impressed by the pilot I think he might have been a Civilian Demo Pilot.
Anyway thats was a real long time ago and if I was going this year I think a Tiger Meet would be real cool to see.

The only way I have ever had them was Boiled, on a boat off Cape Cod. Straight out of the sea into the pot. By the time were in Harbour they were cooked.
Superb!
SallyB is in good hands. Extra cash wont hurt her one little bit but shes in good hands.
Boiled is very good but if you let them over cook they tend to be a tad tought. So did you eat the Tamalie also 😮
As for SallyB I never question that she wasn’t in good hands all I was asking is their way to generate extra cash for her and other Warbirds and if not was their a way to approach your elect MPs to see if their was a way to change the presence Tax Laws.

So why bother dealing with the US if it comes with all sorts of strings attached? Especially if you already operate more capable and useful aircraft (Il-76) which come without all the red tape which is part of contracts with the US.
Although Lockheed’s attempt to shove the Jerkules onto India now the US is going to cancel that pork-project does reveal a shrewd marketeer, somewhere in those Georgian swamps 😀
Arthur,
Could you please point me in the direction that the 130J is being cancel. As a matter of fact the Air force Reserve are slat to recieve over the next few years close to 30 Aircraft to replace all the 130Es I know that the RI Air Guard the first to recieve the Js will have all their aircraft by 2008 and the three other Guard units are slat to be completely converted to Js by 2010.
Also the Acive Air Force are going to be replacing some of the E and H models and the Coast Guard are looking into replacing their ageing Es for Js.
So I don’t understand your statement.
I’m not try to start a Flame here Arthur ok 😀

Richard you are probably right, our Maine-eac (pun intended) friend was trying to work out ways of increasing revenue by giving passenger rides.
A totally different kettle of Lobsters. 😀
Thanks MOTF,
So do you like your Lobster boiled or steamed, may I suggest Steamed the taste is far better 😀 😉
As for SallyB yes I was trying see if their was a way to keep her flying in the UK where she belongs 🙂 .
